these are the same price as the cheap flimsy bookcases I have been buying and replacing for years, but this is way better quality! The short pieces and the staggered pattern give it excellent stability. This piece may be a littler smaller, but it is so sturdy and stylish and easy to move. They really can be used vertically or horizontally, and there is no difference in the front, back, top or bottom.

This bookshelf is comprised of laminated particle board. The materials are fairly cheap, but put together in such a way they feel heavy and sturdy instead of flimsy and cheap. I purchased 3 of these and out them together myself. You only need a screw driver. It takeS about 45 minutes per shelf to assemble. The directions are easy to follow and I feel the shelves were very simple to assemble. I used 3 to give my living room a "built in" sort of look and to display my pictures, skulls, and oddities. 10/10 would recommend these shelves especially for the price point. Of we need shelving in any other room we'd be happy to buy more or another product from this manufacturer.

I would never trust this bookcase to stand up vertically on its own. The sides are made up of multiple pieces, which not is very noticeable and unappealing, but it also means there is no firm support to hold it upright. The manufacturer obviously is aware of this, seeing as the final step in the instructions is to screw a brace into your wall to hold it upright.Easy enough to assembleIt is unreliable as a vertical bookcase, and it is too narrow to use as a stand for my TV when lying horizontal on the ground.All-in-all, this was a waste of my money, but maybe you'll have a use for it. Just make sure wherever you place it isn't prone to earthquakes...or mild breezes.

Bought a pair of these and put them together. They are cute but are smaller than I envisioned. The overall width of the board is also very thin. I do not recommend using these for books because of the odd cubby shapes. They are not super sturdy but might be good in a guest room or dorm. They look OK in my office, but I am not planning to purchase again.

I bought this shelving unit for my classroom. I have placed it horizontally underneath a wall-hung smart TV. I followed the assembly instructions exactly. The shelves are screwed securely into place, allowing me that flexibility of using it in a horizontal position. I’m very pleased with this product.

The Homfa 8 Cube Bookshelf is a modern and attractive bookshelf that would be a great accent piece for your room. I purchased this bookshelf with the intention of using in for a virtual stage backdrop. The bookshelf is well made and large enough to display a good number of items. The unique shape is very eye-catching, and I love how the varying shelf widths and heights help attract your attention to both items large and small. The varying-shaped shelves are a bit tricky to assemble if you don't pay attention to the instructions carefully, but all the pieces are very clearly labeled and the instructions are pictorial so you can figure out things quickly and easily. None of the pieces have damaged and everything screwed together without any issue. The tool to assembly was also included, so you don't need to fuss about finding anything. For those who have small children, or who live in earthquake country as I do, this shelf comes with straps so you can fasten it to the wall. Overall, it's an attractive bookcase that would look good in a space where you want some modern decor.

We loved the ease of putting it together and used it on its side as a tv stand. Good sturdiness:cost ratio= good value. It is still particle board but looks good for the price. I love the different shapes of the shelves/cubbies & we can use it upright in the future which makes it versatile which is crucial when you have a smaller house.
