I was worried about the actual width and length of this stencil. I needed it to almost fill a 6 inch wide border on my quilt - the actual design, not just the plastic. I was concerned that it wasn't going to be big enough. It was perfect.I would caution anyone using this for a square or rectangular border that wraps around, to pay attention to what side that extra leaf that sticks out is on. That was the one thing I didn't think of when marking this stencil onto my quilt. I did not use the "corner" curve, as my measurements wouldn't allow for it, so I just used the "eye shaped" part over and over again until it ran into an edge. However, after I was all done, I noticed that I had put that leaf on the same side on each side of my border, and I wish I would have flipped it over when I marked it on the right side of my border. Not a huge deal, and it still looks beautiful - but if you are someone who pays attention to detail, it's a helpful hint!
