Amazing!
I have used this with older students that have disabilities that are often not exposed to a wide range of math skills beyond basic counting, calculations, basic clock reading, and basic money skills. This whole series is an amazing tool to help them get the spectrum of math skills with a beautifully colorful presentation and an absolutely elegant progression of exercises meant to train any students' mind to gain all the math skills at a conceptual level. The kids love it! kids working with other materials beg and pester me to have a Sylvan Book. Students don't want to go out and do other activities because they so enjoy working with their math book! I recommend this book for any person learning this level of math.

Great for learning math!!
I have been using this everyday with my kindergardener for the past few weeks and we love it!! My child already reads at a 2nd grade level, but her teacher wants us to get her math upto a first grade level. So as extra practice at home this book is great, it's colorful and fun! She really enjoys working on it and I love that!! It has counting, adding, subtracting, which she has already learned in the first semester of school and we used this as a review. As well as geometry, measurements, time, and money; which she will be learning in the second semester. Perfect tool, definitely plan to stay busy with your child; my daughter loves working on this when we work on it together. So you have to be prepared to be your child's tutor.

You have turned our world around. Thank You!!
Thank you is not enough for the people who put this book together. As a father concerned at my 7 year old sons lack on interest in maths and watching his interest slip further and further away this book has turned it around in 3 months. The real skill of this book is its ability to engage the child and allow them to feel empowered and on their own journey of discovery of maths. Our son is a visual learner he has a huge artistic ability and brain and this book engages it with pictures and converts it into mathematical learning. I told my son to stop his maths work the other day and he said "No...I love maths, well not the maths at school but I love this maths, it helps me in the real world" I know my son will be okay with maths now, he has started the journey and is loving it. Thank You so very much... Doggy Dan :)

Good book, wish it’s cheaper
It’s a decent book. Covers most of math content expectations for first grade, introduces some second grade content. I gave it four stars only because of the cost and the fact the pages are starting to come out. Probably not their fault, my son can be rough on things.

Super math 1st grade study
this is a great 1st grade math book it covers the basics, addition , subtraction, money (dimes nickels quaters & pennies) , shape patterns & time (hour minute seconds) i personally didn't want any coloring parts because this particular child will try to do only the coloring parts without even understanding! skipping past as much work as she can on the way! then i have to erase it. now i will have to just keep closer eye on each page she does. overall this book is great!

great product
my son showed interest in his math at school, so I decided to nurture it by buying him work books. he loves the lessons and feels very confident now. I highly recommend these books to anyone who is trying to catch up, stay on track or get ahead. such a great investment. I will buy again for my younger son.

Perfect for homeschooling!
I absolutely love this book and so does my five-year-old son. Because of COVID, we had to start homeschooling and I wanted to be sure I had a good book that had enough lessons for the whole school year, and this fit the bill! we got the flashcards that are made by this company as well and they work perfectly together.

Our kid is now a math ace
Totally helped my then-first grade daughter master basic mathematical concepts on her own without any muddled input from her math-challenged parents. We are not very good at explaining her math homework and found ourselves in frustration telling her to simply memorize addition/subtraction tables, which of course is no answer to learning math. The book made learning math easy and fund for her, something we didn't think possible. At first, we told her to do 2-3 pages a night, but she started to breeze through the lessons on her own. Our daughter is now an ace in her second grade math class and I'm convinced that this workbook gave her the foundation she needed.
