Perky-Pet 50180 The Architect Wild Bird Feeder, No Size, Brown

I was attracted to this feeder by its clean lines and geometric shape. It will likely be more accessible to smaller birds as larger birds won’t be able to get inside the open feeding area easily. It is made of a good quality metal and the chain and hook seem sturdy. Looking forward to seeing which birds will come to feed!The first feeder arrived with a problem with the base having come off the frame during shipping and the brads getting bent so I couldn’t just nail them back in place. I contacted the seller and they assured me they would get another feeder shipped out ASAP. They were good to their word. My replacement feeder arrived in reasonable time and is now hanging outdoors waiting for its visitors.I would definitely do business with this seller in the future as they stand behind their product and did an excellent job to get me a replacement quickly.

Really like this feeder, very stylish and modern. We get birds in, on, and below it all the time. You will get bird seed falling out below the feeder, so be mindful of that, and that attracts birds to the ground below it, which works just fine for us. In some cases we've had a bird in it, one on the roof and one on the chain waiting for their table to be ready. :-)

I bought this for my wife for mothers day and she absolutely fell in love with the look and design. She couldn't wait for me to put it up and fill it with feed on mothers day. The next day she woke up to discover that it had fallen down and was laying in the yard. I went to inspect what had happened and discovered the chain had broken. I figured this was a fluke so Amazon was quick to send a replacement. When the second unit arrived we put it back up and within 48 hours it had also broken in the exact same spot.When I went to request another unit Amazon referred me to the seller for help as this was abnormal to have two units fail in a row so quickly. I contacted the seller and they suggested I simply request a third unit from Amazon, which I had already tried. Since this is clearly a manufacturing defect, I replied and asked them to provide a replacement chain so I did not have to fight with Amazon for a third time. They said the only other option was to return the entire unit for a refund.Since my wife really loved this feeder I ended up going to Home Depot and buying a stronger chain and was able to make it work as the manufacturer should have. So far its been up for over a week and has yet to fall.Again, this is a great design but the included chain is worthless and seller won't stand behind their product. I would look elsewhere but if you absolutely love this design you can purchase a new chain and make it work yourself.

I like this a lot. But it only holds a tiny bit of seed, like 1/2 cup. The platform is a decent size, but the sides are really short. I have a newly built house and the landscaping is pretty immature, so I am OK with the capacity until the birds find the feeder. Then I will have to switch to one that I don't have to refill every 10 minutes. But this attracts them without leaving too many seeds for undesirable rodents.

Good looking but isn’t really functional. The chain broke immediately. The squirrels constantly come for the seeds and make a mess. It’s also hard to put seeds in the small slot. It’s a nice Art Deco look but doesn’t work well on my balcony.

Loved the feeder, but the chain broke after two weeks and the feeder fell to the ground and broke. It can probably be fixed since it didn't shatter, however, if you buy this feeder, replace the chain and how it attaches to the roof.

Beautiful! As artistic a feeder as you'll ever find. Also sturdy and well made.
