They will work fine for a KLR650
Going on 4 months now since I bought these I think. They're fine. Buy them. There not works of art. They're heavy but they work fine they stick to my boots well on and off road. You don't need to spend a fortune on footpegs, these will do just fine. I'm totally satisfied with them and I never even think about them cuz they just work...... ya know?

Major improvement
2016 klr 650, had to grind an 1/8 in off to make them fit, they look good and are a major improvement over stock footpegs.

Fits the KLR 650
The foot pegs fit the KLR 650, it is a very tight at first. I recommend cleaning the mounting area on your bike and dry fit. IF not possible use a little oil or lubricant to help place the foot peg in.

Good traction, not much else.
I bought these a few months ago and decided to get a little saddle time in before I wrote this. Here are my impressions. Right out of the package there was some surface rust on one of the pegs. It was very minor and for the price I figured out could throw a little clear coat on them no big deal. The next thing I noticed was the poor casting job. There were little burrs and tabs sticking out all along the inside of the pegs. Again, for the price I figured I could deal with it.I removed the stock pegs and these replacements went on very easily with no fuss or modifications. I climbed up onto the bike and immediately felt like my weight was distributed better and my feet didn't slide around much at all. I was pretty happy with myself at that moment.Being excited for my new frugal mod, I grabbed my helmet, gloves, and jacket and decided to go for a ride. This is where I began to notice the problem with these pegs. First and foremost, these sit about an inch farther to the front of the bike than the stockers. This makes makes my size 11 foot rest way too close to the shifter and makes shifting feel very uncomfortable. The second issue I have is the pegs flop around. More than a few times did they get caught up on my boots, flip up, and make shifting and foot placement impossible and dangerous. This probably can be cured with some sort of spring, but quite frankly the trouble of fabbing up and modifying these isn't worth it.After some exposure to trail moisture, rain, and other various conditions, these are showing considerable rust staining. I definitely would not purchase these again.

Great product and price - info on how to make your own springs too...
5 stars due to price and function. Arrived fast. This is my second set mounted to a KLR. First was a 2006 (used for 14000 miles) and now a 2017 KLR650.I did not have to grind the peg ends on this set...perfect fit for the 2017 bike. Also, many folks state that springs are not needed...If you go off road at all you need springs to ensure the peg is back down should you contact an obstacle. And, making your own torsion springs is really easy. Search the webs for "KLR650 foot peg springs". Basically here is what I did. .062" SS weld wire. Made a simple u-shaped end for holding onto the bracket. Wind the spring the CORRECT way around a 1/2" deep socket...note CORRECT way as you will need a RH and LH spring. See the pics you get when you search for springs. Then, after the three winds around the socket you simply bend the wire over the top of the foot peg...done. Pics make this much more easy to understand.Good luck.

Easy to install and works well in the dirt.
Easy to use install on a ‘22 KLR 650. It’s pretty snug so I had to use a mallet to push them in. Worked great in the dirt. Definitely have more vibration through the foot pegs. But it’s a 650 cc single from the 1980’s so what do you expect from an all metal foot peg.

Great Standard!
I've been running these for so long that I almost forgot the bike didn't come with them! Using these on my KLR has helped me feel super-planted on the pegs every time I need to stand up. It's so much nicer than the stock pegs, which would get slippery and occasionally lead to a slip-off that really exercises all of the sphincters. These still look great on my bike, despite numerous gravel roads, thousands of miles of highways, and a few unintended bike departures out in the woods. I've seen some worry about the lack of a return-springing, but it's not been an issue at any point for me. Gravity has always been sufficient to return the pegs back to proper position for me.

Good value, will fit a Vstrom
I put these on a 2012 Vstrom 650, easy install. The stock pegs were killing my feet on long off-road rides, these should be much better. I can definitely feel the difference when I stand on therm. I had to adjust the shift lever to it's highest position as these are wider and slightly higher than stock, but didn't take long to get used to them. They're heavier than stock, but can't beat em for the price.

Fit KLR650!
Good quality for the price. They work, but I don't see them lasting as long as the expensive brands.Still work very well, grippy. Took a bit of muscle to fit it on my gen 1 KLR650, but they fit!Biggest issue I have is they are not level with the ground, it is tilted backwards a little bit which makes it hard to stand up on the pegs. But I would recommend for a cheap upgrade!

Inexpensive alternative
Ordered for my KLR 650. Just an average dual sport rider and I wanted more grip than the slippery stock pegs. I can't imagine being more satisfied if I spent a bunch of $$ on name brand pegs. These are just fine and would recommend for anybody needing a little more confidence off road. Plan on moving your shifter up a notch since these are a little wider.

Good grip to boots.
Boot grips to the foot pegs and takes a little to get use to, but that's what I wanted. Had to move up the shifter because the pegs sit higher than original pegs, just fyi. I like them and really easy to put on.
