If you are doing bare metal on Arduinos,need this for programming.

As always, sparkfun products are top notch and well supported. Cutting the jumper is tricky but the website has directions.

Worked right out of the box
I needed a UART to USB converter for my NS-HP-GN2 RTK GPS module for programming and for communication with a SBC RPi 4B 4GB. This converter met my requirements and then some.

Cost-effective, good build quality, USB-C compatible, just works
Worked flawlessly for flashing Tasmota onto an ESP8266 device. Make sure you store it in a safe place when you're done, because this thing is tiny!

love these sparkifuns
this device works just fine. I use it on a mac and linux (raspberrypi os and ubuntu (don't know about windows...)) and is immediately recognized by the machine.

just what i needed
a usbC to serial breakout, was exactly what we needed. and with the female header , small size make it a breeze to program a system without too many cables getting in the way.
