The best trial box, but could improve.
I use these boxes regularly for court, especially trials. The design has changed a little over the years, but remains essentially the same as 15 years ago. We're rough on them. We'll throw a bankers box on top and wheel them from parking to courtroom. I use these a few times a week, daily during trial. They last a few years before the handles break off the sides or the extending handle busts. There are more robust options but none that look as nice, few that lock.I wish they were tougher. I'd pay for Vaultz boxes that were all metal, no cardboard. I'd pay for stronger handles that were a few inches longer. I'm not that tall, like five foot nine. The handles are just a bit too short. I'd pay for some kind of organizer in the lid, just a few mesh pockets, pen loops, or zipper pockets. I don't need a ton of supplies in court, but I'd like to have the trial box hold them instead of losing table space or having to bring a briefcase. Same for IT gear like chargers and cords. Vaultz are the best looking trial boxes by far, I just wish they were the most functional, too. That said, for the price, they bring a lot to the table and do the job. For example, the links won't stop a determined thief. I've popped them with a Cross pen. They will keep a dishonest prosecutor or snoopy bailiff out of your work product, though. The wheels could be much better if they were a bit bigger and more durable, such as inline skate wheels.Overall, plenty of space for books, binders, and files. Relatively secure. Professional appearance. Takes a fair bit of abuse. Worth the money. I haven't found anything else better and I look for better every time some associate drops one down a flight of stairs or yanks the handle off one dragging it through a busted up country court parking lot. Over 100 jury trials, vaultz has been there for nearly every one.

Great value
I did not purchase this locking file box for files, I purchased it for securing personal items that I didn’t want curious eyes easily accessing. The box can be used for either, and is a great size for my needs. As far as the lock, it is easy enough to open and close and was simple to set up my personal code. This box is not Fort Knox, I have a safe that suits my needs for securing valuable items. This box seems to be durable enough for frequent use and the wheels and handle are a nice feature if you want a secure box to commute or travel with.I am pleased with the quality of this locking file box and after researching other options, I feel like I found a great value to suit my needs.

Great value, stylish, functional.
The wheels and telescoping handle were a big part of why I chose this one. My work insisted on the locks. They chose a different one for me made of rubberized cloth and cardboard. I passed theirs off to another agent in my office within a few days and bought this instead for a few bucks more than their choice. Worth every penny, plus.In most ways, this is perfect. A couple of pockets in the lid for office supplies or phone, pen holders, and bars on the sides to support legal size hanging folders. It comes with a cushioned laptop sleeve and has two built-in dividers to help organize the spacious interior. The locks are as sturdy as one could expect from the product’s price point, and far better than the one my work chose. My only complaint is that one of the side bars for hanging folders snapped off within a few weeks. But I probably overloaded it. I have been using the built-in dividers to organize my files instead, and it still works great.Highly recommended.

Absolute garbage (design defective/poor quality)
The media could not be loaded. I purchased aVaultz Portable File Box with HandleBack in 4/2023 from Amazon.I use it only about 2x a month to transport confidential files from home to work and vice versa. The handle was not the sturdiest from the get go then became looser and has now fallen off completely. Now all I have is a locking box on wheels.I have used the same Vaultz file boxes over the years (they anre not the greatest but they were the only option I have found) and this one was the worst yet quality wise. Others lasted a couple of years or so. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Seeing how the handle was held on to the box left a lot to be desired. They essentially used 4 (tiny) circular metal prongs to affix the handle to the (thin MDF?) box and those prongs simply wore a hole in the box that they were affixed to. Not even glue to reinforce the handle on the box - just the tiny prongs. Shame on Vaultz! How was that supposed to transport a box full of heavy paper files (as is the intent of the device)?I am attaching video. I am so disgusted with this ridiculous design flaws. The Vaultz company has gone severely down hill. Hoping Vaultz customer service resolves the issue as I wrote them an email.

9 month review- Carrying Medical Files
My coworker and I use this box to transport medical files. It travels a three hour trip in the car there and back. It does get bounced around getting in and out of the car, up a few stairs, general landscaping while rolling. The box itself is AWESOME. Very sturdy. We put other boxes on top of it. Easy to lift, easy to move. The box is great! The inside is the issue. We utilize the hanging feature to transport quite a few folders. It is not at max capacity, but it does not hold very much weight. The inside hanging part is made very cheaply. If you plan on using this to hang files, I would think about securing the inside better before use.

Great for traveling
I bought one on sale years ago. After about a good 4.5 years of use (daily - in and out of the car, being dragged along for work), it finally broke. Bought a new one and I still enjoy it. The one thing with the new one, is the handle sticks a little, but it is useable.
