great mattress, poor pump
I have owned at least a half dozen of these air mattresses. The mattress itself is first rate: well-made, sturdy, holds inflation well. The last varies from unit to unit, but is generally reliablly maintains inflation. My only reservation is the built-in pump which should be a great convenience. I find them generally weak and they deplete batteries way to quickly. I might get one great inflation, and then the power depletes and the inflation slows to a crawl. I get great results with my electric pump: quick inflation in seconds. The mattress would be a better buy without the unreliable and ineffective pump.

Blown Away
This is hands down the best air mattress I’ve ever owned. As a twenty four year old moving into a new place, I knew I was going to be leaving pretty much all my furniture behind, including my old bed. Purchasing an air mattress as a temporary sleeping arrangement was an absolute necessity as I saved enough to buy myself a real bed.A know a few people mentioned the mattress loosing air, but in the five weeks I’ve slept on this, I’ve only had to add air three times. Three times in five weeks!!! And it’s not like it was deflated, I just noticed it was squishier with time. But no problem it was an easy fix!The built in pump is my favorite; I love that it’s cordless. Four D batteries will be necessary. I used Rayovac and they worked wonderfully and I didn’t have to change them out. Honestly this would be fantastic for camping. The mattress was comfortable, and honestly no problem to sleep on. And even though I am happy that I can retire it now that I have a “real bed”, I’m certainly holding on to it. It’s now deflated, rolled up, and tucked safely in my closet. I’ll pull it out as needed when I have friends staying over. Before storing, I do recommend removing the batteries.I purchased this on sale, but it’s worth every penny. Heck I’d pay full price for it.

4 D size batteries
4 stars only because you NEED 4 D size batteries. In the pictures or description I didn’t see where it said pump operates on 4 D size batteries. Now that I had to sleep 1 night on a flat air mattress, I decided to look deeper into description. It does say 4D mattress but it’s misleading.

Killed my brand new energizer batteries after 1 trial run
I bought this for a camping trip. I inflated it and deflated it with 4 brand new energizer batteries the night before the trip and it worked. When deflating, it makes a noise so you know you turned it off. When I got to the campsite, it was still in the "off" position. But the batteries were dead. I took them out, put them back. Still dead. Turned them every which way I could, dead. That's $10 in batteries wasted. I made myself dizzy trying to blow the worthless mattress up. I got it in the end and tried to sleep on it. I'm 5 foot 9 180 lbs, not exactly a giant, but even with my head at the very top of the mattress my feet were hanging off. The mattress lost some air in the night. It wasn't terrible, not great, just ok. You might want to bring back up batteries if you invest in this mattress. Or just buy a manual air pump, which kind of defeats the purpose of a battery powered air mattress. Do not recommend.

Slept like logs!
We purchased these when moving to our new house to use before our furniture arrived. We figured it was a better deal compared to a hotel and quieter. We didn't expect to love them this much! We really slept like legs. They're very comfortable- maybe a lot more than some hotel beds! It inflated like a charm. No work for me. They're great to have for extra guests and for travelling.

Very happy with my Coleman mattress. Very comfortable. Deflate feature is exceptionally nice.
Update October 2024: Still love it! Have used on several more 2 night trips.I have used on three x two night camping/fishing trips so far and its very comfortable and has held air perfectly not even needling any “top off”. I love the built in inflator. Toss in the tent and turn on, you can hear when it’s full in a few minutes. But like even better the deflate feature which makes packing it up a breeze. I deflate, trifold, roll it up, give it one more brief deflate and stick it in a small two handle duffel bag to make carrying easy. The velvety surface is very important feature as it prevents your sleeping bag from sliding off as camping spots are rarely level. This mattress is relatively heavy and bulky so not a mattress to take backpacking for miles. But can’t beat it if you don’t have to transport far. Original 4 D batteries still working fine but I pack a spare set just in case. You could blow up by mouth or with an external inflator if you forget batteries.

Still kicking after a 9 day wilderness hunting trip
This mattress is the champion of champions. My group laughed at me when I said I was bringing an air mattress to hunting camp, but they were all incredibly jealous by the end of our nine day trip!!This thing got inflated with only a tarp between it and weeds, burrs, sticks, and brush. I added air twice over the entire nine day trip, once to account for stretching and once just because I wanted it a bit firmer that night. It was sat on, stepped on, slept on, and treated pretty roughly, all things considered. Clearly, it couldn't have cared less, because I still have a fully functional air mattress. One of the coolest features is the DEFLATE function. Trying to get an air mattress fully deflated and rolled back up to fit in its bag is a pain, right? Not anymore! Flip this thing into deflate mode and it sucks itself completely flat to the point that it looks the same way it did the very first time you pulled it out of the box. I was able to fit it inside its bag WITH a set of sheets!Batteries not included, so pick up 4 D batteries. No idea how long they last -- the mattress has been inflated and deflated four times since purchase, plus the couple times air was added. No apparent lag in power so I assume the batteries are still going strong.Seriously impressed and would happily purchase again. Can't wait to use it next year at hunting camp...betting I won't be the only one in my group with one!!!
