Object detection needs work but vacuum is quieter
The Ecovacs deebot N30 Omni is a robot vacuum with a mop pads. It does wet your floors but it uses the mop heads to help clean the floors. It also has a spinning brush on the corner. The configuration was a bit tricky at first. There is an audio that plays to help you set up and tells you the status of the vacuum. One instruction says to scan the QR code. If you don’t look at the instruction manual, you may be spending time looking for it. It is on the top of the vacuum under a flap cover. You will need to download the app as well and create an account. This part was fairly easy.Where it gets tricky is connecting to the vacuum via wifi. The vacuum has its own wifi antenna. The app sees the vacuum’s wifi and fails to connect. I tried a handful of times. But you can connect manually and it finally connected. The next issue was it detecting a new firmware patch. It kept failing to download. I had to delete and reconnect the vacuum with the app and finally it successfully downloaded and installed the update. Even with this small issue, it is great that it checks for the version before letting you start using it.The app is easy to use. You can map the room you are in or just vacuum and it will map as it vacuums. There is a round sensor on top of the vacuum that maps the room and tracks the path it takes. As it leaves the dock, it tried to go around the dock area. My previous robot vacuum leaves the dock area before it starts to vacuum. I feel this wastes time as it maneuvers around the dock. The vacuum itself is quieter than my previous one. I started in the bedroom. It went under the bed and we have cables there. It got stuck. My other robot vacuum detects these and will avoid it. This vacuum tries to run over it. You really have to clear the floor in areas you want it to vacuum. After docking back, you are given an option to clean the mop pads. There are two water reservoirs. One for clean water and one for dirty water. You will need to use a cleaning solution and if you want to use one from Ecovacs, they cost about $28 for a 35 fl oz. This is not included, not even a sample.Overall, I like it because it is quieter than my previous robot vacuum. The app is user friendly. So far, my only complaint in terms of using it is object detection like cables on the floor. You really have to clear the floor. In that case, you may just want to sweep as you are clearing the floor.

Decent quality vacuum and mop combo robot
This vacuum and mop combo robot is of decent quality. There are pictured instructions in the manual and on the box it comes with. Instructions are simple to follow for installation and setting up with its mobile app.The app itself is pretty self explanatory to use, and works with our 5G network. I like that it offers many modes to choose from: vacuum function alone, mop function alone, vacuum then mop, or vacuum and mop at the same time. The above modes, vacuum suction power level, mop water flow rate, and cleaning speed all can be adjusted easily on the app. It’s nice that it lets you able to set up unlimited virtual boundaries on the mobile app map by just drawing lines or rectangles. Much better than our old version iRobot’s limited amount of boundary wall units that need to be put down on the ground of the entrance to the areas we don’t want it to enter. The mobile app also has many other cool features like letting you name the areas, select how it reacts to carpet etc.During use, it scans and divides the house in several sections and thoroughly clean each section by running in parallel lines to cover every reachable spot. It would return to base station by itself to empty the trash when it’s full, or to charge when it’s low on battery. The base would automatically do so for the robot when it’s docked, which is very convenient. And you can choose if you want it to resume the unfinished cleaning tasks once trash is emptied or battery is charged. It runs more quietly than the other two cleaning robots we owned that are from different brands, and charges faster too. We found no hair wrapping around the roller brush after many uses, it’s indeed tangle free. Works as expected on all varieties of our floors(hardwood, carpet, tiles), transitions between them smoothly with no issues, cleans well.

Incredible vac/mop combo
The media could not be loaded. Life changing. Just a note if you are looking at reviews. Some of them are not for the N30 Omni Pro. This is an incredible product.I upgraded from a iRobot J7 with no base or mopping. I had no where to go but up. I have a one bedroom apartment with tile, carpet and laminate floors so I needed something that was equally good on all surfaces. I didn’t want to spend more than $500.00 since I don’t have pets and I just needed something to use in between cleanings with a steam mop. I read all the best of lists and reviews I could find for an about a week. I was able to narrow it down between the N30 Pro Omni at $499.00 and the Eufy X10 Pro Omni at $699.00. The Dream L10s Pro Ultra Heat and the Mova P10 Ultra were also contenders. So happy I went with this one. The unboxing was easy and getting it ready for first use was almost painless. I had already downloaded the app and it walks you step by step how to connect to WiFi and then connect the N30 to your phone. The mapping was so quick I wasn’t sure it worked. The app is fantastic and it was a really easy to name rooms and divide them into zones. The ability to customize the cleaning runs is a game changer for me coming from another brand. The first cleaning I did was on carpet and it picked up the fuzz from my black gym socks that my old vac used to drag all over the carpet. The second run was in my bathroom and it worked flawlessly. The edge clerk g was fantastic. The third run was my kitchen. In thought it had missed something but it actually came back and cleaned under my kitchen island at the end. I love the vac and then mop setting. It went back to the station to clean the mop pads I. The middle of the run which was nice. The empty dustpan is loud. I wouldn’t use it late at night if you share walls with neighbors. The hot wash an hot dry function is very nice. You definitely hear the fan when it’s drying but it’s like white noise.I don’t know how I made it without a vacuum/mop combo. Definitely glad I waited to get one with the spinning pads. I did get the liquid cleaner and added 2 caps to the clean water tank. I’m using purified water in the water tank just to keep everything clean.Time will tell how durable it is. I did get the 2 year warranty just in case. The only thing g missing is a camera for obstacle avoidance, the function that removes the mop pad if you only want to vacuum and the swing out edge brush. None of that is worth paying double.I would definitely recommend this if you want most of the top of the line features at a midrange price when it’s on sale.
