So far so good, but I don't know what battery connector this is.

Work Great with ESPHome and Home Assistant
After trying two different ESP32 board that failed to configure and/or remain connected to WiFi, these did the trick. I am using them with Home Assistant as Bluetooth proxies (whole house BLE connectivity) and as room presence detection. Easy to configure and reliable after a week deployed.

Different than advertised - unusable
The board has no shield covering the ESP32 and the chip seems to have been reworked. Both boards in the kit have the same issue and are unusable.

Arduino IDE will not download automatically
Like many other ESP devices, the Arduino IDE will not put the device into boot load mode automatically. The solution is to add a 10 ufd capacitor to EN and GND. The capicitor size probably isn't critical but seems to be needed for auto download on the Arduino IDE. This problem has existed for many years, even on the older ESP8266 devices.
