RohoMosaic Seating and Positioning Cushion Re-Engineered (20 X 18 W/Standard Cover)

I had to get a surgery that went very wrong. So, this seat cushion feels great!

I'm a therapist in a skilled nursing facility, so I know ROHO cushions well. When I sustained a medial tibial plateau fracture, I didn't realize how quick one's immobility can cause redness, and, possibly, a pressure ulcer. Well, yeah, I did, but I never thought in a million years I'D be experiencing it! ROHO's are like $500, and we usually use them for patients who are immobile from a CVA or the like. I searched for air cushions online and was delighted to find a reasonably priced ROHO! It does not have a large amount of air cells or a bronze air nozzle like the more expensive ROHOs, but who cares. I'm using it for me only, not for a slew of different patients where it is going to go through the wringer. I highly recommend this ROHO to anyone who has to wear an immobilizer for 6 weeks, which I did. This and plenty of cream helped me avoid the dreaded pressure ulcer. This is my third Roho cushion, the first two having succumbed to teeny-tiny holes which are apparently impossible to repair. Both my son and I are adept at understanding problems and how to fix them, what products and methods should/can be used, and we don't give up easily. Unfortunately, there was simply no way to successfully patch them successfully. (The patches included with the cushions will not adhere to the cushion material for even an hour when put to use. I even ordered new patches to no avail! This will not be a problem with my latest purchase! It was, to put it simply, "Dead on arrival!" Unfortunately, last night was the first time I used my latest purchase, about 2 weeks after the return date. Due to an illness, I was unable to use it sooner. When inflating it, I did notice it didn't seem to inflate as quickly as my former purchases, but I attributed that to my low energy and the late hour. I am badly handicapped from childhood osteomyelitis and polio. I am 77+ y.o.a., can walk a bit with crutches and use a wheel chair to go out, so I spend almost all my time sitting, and even must sleep in a simi-reclined position. I use the Rohos to prevent pressure sores on my bottom. A working - AND DURABLE - cushion is a vital item for me, especially since my lower left quadrant is totally paralyzed which has caused me to have more fragile skin on my hip and leg. I plan to ask for a replacement or for it to be durably repaired under the purchase warranty. I hope it doesn't take long, as I already suffered some damage to the skin on my rear while being unable to use a Roho cushion while I was ill.
