I am “plum giddy”!! Love these bulbs!!!
I have used Alexa devices for years! I have seven echo devices dots, spots, a 5 inch screen and an 8 inch screen and an echo Tower! I have used the smart bulbs and plug-ins for years. The bulbs do fine, mostly ,the plug-ins are hit and miss at times. These bulbs are the bomb! I put three in the kitchen light fixture at the same time they all connected on the first try, perfect! We’ll see how they hold up. I’ve only been using them today ,so far the one in the living room and the three in the kitchen light fixture seem to be doing fine. I have ordered more. Hopefully they don’t disappoint me. I am pretty happy with these bulbs, so far .Easiest set up ever ,screw them , tell Alexa what you’re adding (light)find this brand on the list and that’s all there is to it😊

Fixed? Bulbs won't reset multiple times
I’ve had a good batch of bulbs. Upgraded to four stars since it took months and multiple returns to get results. The company may have fixed the issue with an update possibly.I’m not certain if trying bulbs in every room triggered an issue. Other people seem to have success in all rooms.I’ve used bulbs in three rooms without an issue consistently for months. I’m very happy with the results.Hoping if I add other rooms I’ll have success. This vintage house using contemporary gadgets is a lot of fun. Like, an echo in every room with bulbs that work make carrying things with two hands simple. In the bathroom a low night light is helpful. Switching to red at night a couple hours prior to sleep helps me relax and snooze quicker.Installing a new fixture and hoping the bulb being added will work 💯.During holidays the sale price is great or for free with an echo. For anyone considering giving these a try or replacing a burnt out bulb./\ updateUpdates to replacements have been worked on for two months. Meaning off to UPS several times. The app has an issue with secondary bulbs even if I deleted the original. It shows a bunch of unresponsive bulbs I’d deleted after attempting to install a single bulb. This time around isn't as easy as the first time set up because a list of bulbs shows up on the list. This whole thing has been a bit of a time suck.I like the bulbs when they work. When they stop as they have again I'm stuck with whatever the previous setting was. Red, 50%, etc.I think it's time to retire the bulbs and move on. Super disappointed. I did try with returns on all bulbs (11) and having my doubts only installed a handful to see how they'd work.I've tried everything suggested and in the end, this makes me prefer not to use tech. Though they're great when they work. I've had it with the ‘unresponsive’ messages and time suck./\ updateAll the bulbs stopped working. Again. Even though I had reset several they stopped again. 11 bulbs. They're less than a month old.Super disappointed. The remote control bulbs never have this issue. I prefer these when they work. But not the frustration that continues.I've used the brand site and this didn't help. The site has a different method than the Alexa option. But it didn't work at all. The Alexa reset works. But they disconnected again. The night routine is set and once a bulb is reset this way. I left them all on the following evening to see if they’d all turn down. Nope. Nothing. Before they all stopped and wouldn't reset I sent to exchange six using boxes I still had.Super sad this happened. No explanation I could find saying why.If the replacements don't work I'll return them and try to recoup purchases. Many of the single bulbs came with echo during the Christmas time sales.Because the four-pack was already exchanged Amazon required a full return.Still hopeful the returns will work. If not buying more remote from a different brand to add to what I've saved when attempting to replace with these/\ updateHere we go again. Every bulb was fine. Then suddenly today. Not. I tried following reset directions. Got a few hooked backups. But the bulbs went down again. It seems to be the Alexa app. Since it said all. But a few worked. Then the reset knees stopped. Then every bulb in the house couldn't be operated on the Alexa app or in the room.I'll try again tomorrow. At this point, I'm beginning to miss my remote-controlled bulbs and manual.I've been trying these for a few months. Was convinced I should add them to the last four spots so from attic to basement and closets. It's been so fun because when I'm going room to room or have stuff in both hands or the dog I just have to ask.I have echo dots in all the music rooms. With a house from 1900, there are limits to tech options. I thought it was genius to leverage these that came with echo dots.If this bulb can not be consistent and causes frustration from random shutdowns and even with reset falls back into despair with dysfunction I will end my misery and revert to the remote control. They're fun, dependable, and are similar in that they change colors and disco out.Imma leaves this at five stars and down to one if this issue doesn't change when I'm following directions to reset or help get these working again.I did return five from a one and five-pack for not working but figured it was the crappy shipping. Light bulbs should NOT be mailed in a bag or lost in the box.Hope this helps you with your choices/\ updateDespite a couple of defective bulbs, super easy return and swap. Meaning Amazon sends out the bulbs as soon as I initiated the return replace.Drop at ups and they scan the app pic and boom.Owning a house from 1900 means tech is not as simple as requiring.During the sales in December bough echo dots that came with bulbs for every floor, room. Plus a four pack to cover closets. Now, great sound system and bulbs that are 10 w and don’t always have to be full blast. At night I dig the red. Each room can have bulbs set dimmer or full beam.Amazon, thanks for the bulb inclusion with the echo and the super simple set up.Recommend when ordering click the option to have it linked to your Amazon account. The other option, with the Alexa app, click the plus sign in the upper corner, light, then this brand. Follow directions. Including if you want the bulb grouped with a room. You can always go back and set up a room group.Use the help option to ask for instructions. What’s so cool about the bulbs, in my opinion, is I can be carrying stuff and easily ask for Alexa to turn on the light in said room. No more need for free hand.Renovations to art, dog, deliveries, more. Hands free happy me 😁If you have tech experience, and or can read directions, ask for help these bulbs can be for you.I read somewhere you need the app for the bulb company. Not in my experience. The Alexa app has every company known to a man listed. You just need to Alexa app and patience if you're new at all this. Cause it can be a bit overwhelming for newbie users.Once you get the hang of things it's easy peasy. Takes about a minute. Then about another 30 seconds to give the bulb the name, you’ll use when talking to Alexa or looking it up on the app. You can operate everything remotely as long as the internet works. When I'm traveling this is an awesome option for making people think I'm at the house.5 star once things got rolling⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯/\ updateNot sure why but the bulb stopped working. I've had it for a couple of weeks. Bought it connected to echo dot. Suddenly it stopped. It acts like a regular bulb. Just not echo dot functional any longer⭐️

Don't hit that switch, no persistence of memory
Edit: after about a week this bulb quit responding to Alexa. It no longer responds and will not reset. I am considering it broken and will not go through the trouble of returning this one. Not recommended. It took hours of work, including calls to Amazon and Sengled support and one returned and replaced item to get to a point where we could use this lightbulb. There are some things I learned along the way that may help you if you run into problems with your bulb. The first thing I learned is that the technological implementation of this bulb is not ready for primetime. You can ONLY configure and use this bulb through the Amazon Alexa app. It operates via bluetooth but no device other than an Alexa Echo can see it. I first tried setting our bulb up out on our patio. There is an Echo Studio out there that I intended to pair with the bulb. No matter what I did, the Studio would not successfully find the bulb during the pairing operation. I ended up having to do a reset on the Studio. Then and only then, after the Studio had set itself back up again, did it find the Sengled bulb. It controlled it a few times then the bulb quit responding. Gah! I was at the point where I was wondering if I were dealing with an interference issue? Perhaps my WiFi mesh system was gooning the pairing? I do have a fairly powerful WiFi mesh setup that I have oriented in order to have strong signal out there. Whatever. I decided to return that bulb and replace it from Amazon, figuring I might be dealing with a defective unit. Amazon did replace the bulb promptly but when I got the new one it did exactly the same thing. Echo would not discover the device when I ran the discovery routine. As a sidenote: I had support people telling me I needed to download the Sengled app and connect accounts. Complete waste of time. You do not require a Sengled account. The Sengled app will not connect with these specific bulbs at the time this review is written. The only means to discover and connect to this model bulb is via Alexa. No account linking or app installation is required.I decided to get the bulb away from my highest-strength mesh nodes and moved it back into another room in our house. I had an unused Echo dot sitting around so I plugged it in in our bedroom. As recommended I ran a firmware update routine on that Dot and then did the pairing operation with the bulb. It took awhile but I finally got it paired. It was then that I discovered what might have been part of my problems out on the patio. If ANYTHING interrupts power to the bulb: somebody flicks the wall switch, somebody flips the lamp switch, power goes out momentarily, anything, then the pairing between the Echo and the device is lost and will not return. Once paired, the bulb must have constant power applied to the base whether you have the bulb commanded to be on or off. If somebody inadvertently flips the wall switch the bulb will no longer respond to Alexa. The only way to fix it is to do a new "Discover Devices" routine. Tell Alexa to discover devices, wait til the routine starts, then flip the wall switch on and off 5 full times. Each on cycle must be less than a second or the pairing will fail. After 5 times off and on, turn the bulb on. You will know if you were successful because the lamp will go into a blink/dim routine. You must do this routine WHILE Alexa is searching for devices. If you time it right, Alexa will tell you it "did not find any new devices." That is because Alexa already knows about the bulb. But the re-pairing operation will put the Echo and the Sengled back into communication. You can test this by commanding Alexa to turn the bulb off or on.Having to do this is very inconvenient. If somebody inadvertently flips a wall switch on the bulb so that it loses power, Alexa should be able to run its own routine to re-pair independently once power is restored. It does not. For this reason I cannot recommend anyone get this bulb now. It needs more work on the part of Sengled and Amazon to get the pairing and operation into some sort of usable state that is robust and fault-tolerant. At this point it is not so I cannot recommend the Sengled bulb.
