Outstanding banjo pickup!
Sounds amazing on my Deering banjos! I've tried transducers and an SM57 but this Myers pickup is certainly the winner. Customer support expertise is outstanding and helped me get the sound I wanted quickly. I wish I had bought this a long time ago; small, simple and sounds great. I highly recommend Myers Pickups.

Wonderful Customer Service
I was on the the hunt for a pickup for the banjo and quickly succumbed to decision fatigue and had almost given up. I then stumbled across these Myers Pickups and was mostly impressed by the customers who had issues. They claimed they were called directly from the owner within hours of submitting the complaint!I read thru more of the reviews and thought I found the combination of what would work for me - mostly thru the trial and errors of others. I opted for the grip pickup and ordered an XLR to 1/4" converter elsewhere. When it came in the mail, I hooked it up and immediately had issues with the grip staying attached to my Gibson Scruggs model banjo. The feed back was pretty bad too at standard volumes. I sent an email to Myers company and thought "no way they'll call right back". Within 30 minutes the owner called me, figured out the issue and sent me "the feather unit" with a proper xlr to 1/4 converter - with a few other options for attaching the mic to the banjo as well. I returned the other one.It worked great and I am pleased. I can crank the volume on the amp pretty high without feedback. Amazing clear sound and more importantly stellar customer service!

Incredible mic in a tiny form factor.
The mic is very portable and sounds incredible. It may just be the dry desert climate, but the suction cup has fallen off every time I have used it. I thought maybe my cable or my wireless transmitters were adding too much weight, so I tested it without any outputs and it still fell off after a few minutes of hanging on the wall. I have tried cleaning the cup, cleaning my instruments and wetting the cup before application. Ultimately, I bought a separate instrument mic clip and modified my pickup to work with it. I'm very pleased with the result.I bought two of the HEIMU mic clip for violin, removed the suction cup from this unit and superglued the clip-on attachment from the HEIMU unit to my pickup so I can clip it on or easily remove it to swap between instruments.

Look for something else
Doesn’t work that great and is really not loud enough but manages to feedback anyway.
