Great quality and feel! Worth the extra cost...

Never thought I'd stray from paperback books, but man, am I a Kindle girlie now. So convenient. I love this thing. I already read a lot, but now, I'm reading even more.

I have tried other cases this one fits the best, and feels the best

I have the Paperwhite Signature, think it is 11th generation. When I bought it, I picked the Kindle case that kind of looks like denim fabric. It did not hold up well. In a very short time, a month or so, it was fraying around the edges - though I admit, the Kindle was tossed into my bag and taken everywhere with me, I was not precious with it - still, one would expect an almost $40 case to hold up for longer than it did. Structurally it is still fine, it just looks bad with the edges all fuzzy. I have had $10 device cases that held up better.This one is not fabric. So far I like it. In the description it says leather, though I am not sure about that, it doesn’t feel like leather. Maybe it is some mixture of leather and plastic. I am hoping whatever it is, it will stay looking nice for longer. I got the Merlot color, which is like a dark brick red. It has texture, which I like, it feels good in your hands and is not slippery at all. I think I might get a fabric sleeve or pouch to keep it in when I take it with me, just for some extra protection, and will update my review in a few months.

I ordered the brown one. I am pretty happy with it, but I did not have the strength in my hands to snap the kindle into it. I had to use a screw clamp, which I keep in my tool box for such occasions.
