Mentioned this on another PS4 controller review, but still worth saying, be SURE that you have an ORIGINAL PS4 controller before buying this. IT will NOT fit the newer model controllers (not talking about PS4 PRO, talking about 2nd generation standard controllers bought off the shelf). There are a few good resources out there for determining which controller type you have (clearly I did not use them as i wound up buying this for a 2nd gen controller and being upset cus I couldn't use it). Also, please note that I did not deduct a star for my own dumb mistake. That's on me. Also also, even though I couldn't put this on my gen 2 controller, I still had a gen 1 controller, so i swapped it out just to test it!The reason I game this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the buttons were very tight. It could have just been the molding of my particular one (a huge variety of factors when these are being prepared can affect that) but the buttons (especially the 'share' and 'option' buttons) were incredibly tight. I didn't mind, as I also have a set of clear/glow-in-the-dark buttons that I was intending to use with this shell, but if you're hoping to just use the clear case/buttons, you may need to either get another button kit or use some of the originals.

I had a mixed feeling about this because of the mixed reviews so i went and bought it anyways and i was very pleased that it actually fit on my controller! I have the gen 1 controller so that was also a reason why it fit it’s not for the new pro controller with the lightbar onthe touchpad..also the only slight problem i had was putting the lightbar motherboard on..it wouldnt fit correctly so i snipped off a piece of plastic on one of them and it fit perfectly after :) I didnt use the buttons it came with so i went with black :) so happy with this purchase

This kit comes with a full complement of replacement parts for a dualshock 4, including the chassis for the motors and circuitry. Overall i was very impressed with the quality of the product. The thumbsticks are high quality and have a nice grip texture. Everything fits together pretty well. I had to leave two screws at the top slightly loose however, to keep the share and options buttons from being smashed in.My biggest disappointment was in the triggers (R2, L2) . Their plastic attachments are the wrong diameter, both for the stock chassis and the included replacement. This led to the triggers being loose in the housing and often becoming dislodged and sticking on.For the price it was well worth the buy, i was only dissapointed in the bad trigger design

Worked to fix a controller that was chewed by a dog but all the internals still worked. The new shell fits well on a gen 1 controller. I gave it 4 stars because I had to snap off a small pin in the very back that didn't properly align with the USB board, otherwise perfect. I also kept the black buttons with the clear shell and swapped the clear buttons on a regular one.

after careful inspection, i would have to either desolder or cut wires to the palm vibration motors in order to place them in this. i even tried to see if the guts of my old controller would fit in the new controller case, but sadly no. im keeping this item because i might still try it someday. i will try to send pictures to show what ive been talking about. im not sure if the circuit boards are even transferable from the old case to the new one.

Ok so, package took insanely long to be fulfilled even though I bought it on Prime but I’ll give benefit of the doubt due to COVID. HOWEVER, I have re-shelled and modded a ton of devices & the product really was not up to the standards of other brands. It’s for gen 1 ds4 controller, I used that, BUT I had to modify the new shell a TON to actually fit my components & it didn’t come with screws which has always been standard practice in other brands’ re-shell packages.

I hoped I could customize this product to work with a PS Pro or Slim controller. There is no way to do it. I really just wanted a clear back plate to go with the clear front plate and this is the only kit that had that. Unfortunately I can't use it with the PS Pro controller parts I have.

save your money the shell is absolute trash theirs gaps in the r1 and l1 buttons and its side theres no threading in the screw holes so you cant even close it properly, i had to grind down the home button cuz it keep being pressed when ever you pressed other buttons or squeezed the controller, and even then after i fixed the home button if i squeeze the controller it still registers other button presses, im dissapointed.
