For the book, 5 stars, I have perused it at my university library for research, found it to be a great resource and wonderfully written, very detailed as well as comprehensive.If I was rating the packaging and condition in which this book arrived, I would give THAT only one star. The packaging was not damaged, but inadequate and the book was missing its dust-jacket. I did send it back, with free return label, and received a quick refund: So Amazon customer service is still wonderful in this regard. It's a shame that this happened, though.I ordered this book through Amazon, as stated on the page: Sold and Shipped by Amazon... It arrived a bit dusty, or dingy, and was missing its dust-jacket. The style of packaging may have caused this dirt to get into the small envelope-style box, which had to openings at each end - The packaging was designed as such. The missing dust-jacket was just a bit mysterious. I hope that such issues have been corrected and they do not repeat.
