Brass is a good upgrade from steel
Nice quality fit perfectly sealed up great brass is a great option to slow corrosion on the back side of the freeze plug especially in boats from my experience

I call them casting plugs....but whatever.
They did work in a small block chevy.Only real difference between these and some others I have used is the brass plugs are a shallow dish, which makes them harder to drive straight. It's not a problem if the engine is removed and you are using the proper drivers.I'll bet these would be harder to get straight with the engine installed.Shame on you!, if you use steel plugs between the engine and transmission.I Hope My Review Was A Little Bit Helpful To You!!
