Superb piece of kit - fast, easy to set up, full of features.
Bought this router after my previous one that’d lasted for a fair few years, decided to conk out. What I’ve bought with this one is actually a superior replacement.Fully featured and fast to set up, it’s been a good experience. It didn’t take long to get to the same stage as my previous setup - a mix of wired and wireless connections.I was also looking for a router that enabled me to put alternative firmware on it. It’s possible to put OpenWRT on it, but to be fair the GUI is that good and fully functional, I’ve just not bothered.Signal quality and connection overall has been sound.Overall, a great router, and given its price, superb value for money.

Excellent WiFi 6E router, strong signal, powerful and economical
Excellent router, easy to set up, strong WiFi signal throughout a large 4 bed home. I do need another one to make a mesh network as signal is so good from this single one. Getting near max speeds on WiFi throughout the home! Great upgrade from a tplink ac1200 WiFi mesh network. Did not use openwrt but this is capable of installing the firmware onto it. The existing firmware is reliable and have no issues so no need to flash openwrt unless you really need extra features. Definitely recommend to all who want strong WiFi connection throughout their home!

Good
Good signal, works well for my Quest 3 virtual desktop link. However it stops providing internet every so often (like once a month) and has to be rebooted to resolve, not sure whats up with that. Has a lot of good features in the interface, would recommend.

Great router for WireGuard usage
I use this router to use WireGuard from NordVpn. Now I can conect my FireTV getting 309mbps (contracted speed 1gbps) using wireguard to watch spanish tv. Before, using the app, the max speed was 90mbps and using OpenVpn max was 120mbps. Very happy after flashed OpenWrt and installed WireGuard from NordVpn.I tried with other router, but the cpu is important too. This one got good cpu power to improve internet speed, but others wasn't good and max speed with OpenVpn was 20mbps.Signal coverage is great too. Only problem I have is I can't set up Wifi 5ghz at 160mhz because it doesn't work, so max is 80mhz. I will investigate futher to see if I can fix it. Anyway, speed I've got over Wifi with FireTV is over 300mbps (4K UHD minimun speed is 25mbps).Good price, good quality, great features. Can't complain at all. All good with Cody router.

Set up and working perfectly in under 10 minutes
Clear and simple instructions. Easy to set up. Very customisable if required. I changed the default name and password to be the same as my old router in order to avoid having to relink all my IoT devices and Alexa's. Worked a treat.Strong WiFi signal.

Super quick little devices and a bargain for the features
What an amazing little device, especially for the price. Setup was super quick and everything just works. It’s the simple things that impress the most, the management interface is really intuitive and most importantly of all amazingly fast.I’ve since flashed it for OpenWrt, which was what it was bought for (extending a mesh) and it’s performing just great there too

Full OpenWRT for a micro price
Let’s be real — at £40, you don’t expect a router to be much more than a plastic box that wheezes out Wi-Fi. But the Cudy WR3000? It’s a budget beast with the heart of a much pricier contender.Setup is a breeze. Whether you’re an OpenWRT veteran or just want a dead-simple GUI, Cudy doesn’t force you to choose — it’s usable for casuals, powerful for nerds (like me :P )The default firmware is Cudy based - but its extremely easy to flash full openwrt on it, which works perfectly (although I did stick to v23 - havent tried v24.10 yet at time of writing)Performance? Rock solid, and for a price this low - great to setup little "DumbAPs" around the house to iron out some deadzones
