While the instructions were a bit tricky, my experience with remote-controlled cars helped. The motors working on their own and being able to mix cables sparked our creativity. But, a heads up – it gobbles up batteries. Six AAs for the box and three AAAs for the remote. Rechargeable batteries might be a good idea to save money.We had a great time building a custom vehicle together, and adding motors with the remote control made it even more exciting. Although the instructions were a bit confusing, once we figured it out, it was smooth sailing. My child is proudly showing off our creation to friends.In a nutshell, the Technic Motor Kit is awesome for sparking creativity, whether you’re a kid or an adult. Just be ready for the battery hunger or invest in rechargeables for a pocket-friendly experience. And hey, it’s more fun when you have other Lego sets to mix it with!

Got these for my son since he is always playing with Legos, and a lot of them are also the Technics version. Asked him about them and he likes them. Since they aren't the official version they line up fairly close but not exactly. They also use a LOT of batteries, so be prepared to get some good rechargeable lithium batteries. Don't get the NiMH versions, they don't last like li-ion do. All in all, it's a great way to "motorized" your technics inspired projects.

My biddy introduce this product to me and I’m so glad I gave it a try! My son and I built a custom vehicle together and motorizing it with a remote control makes your creation even more fun!The instructions isn’t exactly intuitive but was fairly easy to understand how it works once you know what each part is for. Being able to incorporate the motors into it makes the entire process even more fun and make us feeling more accomplished. My boy is proud to show of his creation to his friends. :)

The instructions are pointless, other than to tell you not to connect the motors right to the battery pack. The battery pack is always on, there's no way to turn it off, so it will drain the AA batteries very quickly. The lights have to attach to the battery pack, but you can stack the different connections so that's not too much of an issue. The instructions only show 6 AA batteries, but the controller also needs 2 AAA and the motor doesn't work without the controller. The controller is...finicky to figure out.This says it attached to normal lego, you need the long thin connectors if you are going to be making anything with wheels, as the motor part only attaches to one side, so then both wheels and the rest of the build have to fit on what's left over.All in all, my seven-year-old liked fiddling with it and trying to use it, but is still working on building something that is big enough to carry the battery pack and both motors, I wish this had an attachment kit that came with some model builds and instructions.

One Lego part is missing from the set. Bad experience. My son is disappointed
