There are a ton of light options out there for AUS night flights. However, most of them are not compliant with the FAA’s guidelines of compliance of visibility (3 nm). This light has multiple flash modes, battery level indicator, seems to hold a charge very well and runs on strobe mode for around 4 hours on a single charge.Additional mounting tape (hook and loop) is supplied in the box as well as instructions.This light is very light weight and low profile. It does not impact drone operations at all

Does exactly what it says

The media could not be loaded. Ok I want to say I have tested a few of these strobes this one is just a cheap copy of the Firehouse ARC V Series strobes with cheaper LEDS and single color (not multicolor like the FHT). The number of leds does not matter, the quality does which is really where the cost of the light is based. The range when we tested (they dont test not do they provide the needed written testing info for FAA) the range was 2.5 SM which was below the mini needed for night operations. I'm sure like say 3 SM but this sadly fell short. The case feels cheap, and its not IP rated, and the mounting system with the rubber bands is just a joke, one band pops and off it went! It also precents using any after market mounts to properly mount it secure. The output as tested was only 500 Lumens. The button after a few uses actually broke as its not sealed and move around. The bottom line is if you want a cheap strobe there are plenty on Amazon that all will state they are for drones or meet the requirements, you always get what you pay for. If you just want to slap a light on your drone this works, if you want something you can see from long ranges day or night and meets the regulations best go with strobes that are tested and provide the documentation you need.
