Spectrum Smart Data Only SIM Card - on ATT, T-Mobile, Verizon Networks for Security Cameras, Hunting Cameras, WiFi Hotspots - No Voice, No SMS

Great service. I wanted to connect my verizon hotspot, but didn't want to pay the overprice charges that Verizon charges. I only need about 1 GB of data per month. So after getting the sim card and updating the APN, which Spectrum has the manual. I was able to get internet service at 25% of what I was originally paying and since I'm still testing how much data I use per month if you get their 3,6,12 month package you can save more. They respond quickly through emails.

I purchased a plan to activate the SIM card and wasn't able to change the APN code. My MIFI hotspot was not compatible with any listed and I couldn't connect to the internet. A few days later I get a notice asking me to buy more air credits! REALLY?!?! Customer assistance was a joke!

Easy setup, plug & play for my modem/router. Very easy & inexpensive to add new data. Seems to connect well and does not use large quantities of data searching for signals , very happy with my purchase.

I'm giving this 4 stars for now. It is currently working in a rural part of Florida. It has switched between AT&T and T-Mobile so far. The subscription cost is about $3 per month cheaper than the SIM card my camera came with. The signal isn't great, but neither is it with my phone using T-Mobile. I'm curious as to why it hasn't switched to Verizon yet. I'll revisit this review in time, and after I try an external antenna.

The Sim Card and the customer service is great. I went RV camping in a remote area, and was able to stream videos and movies with no problem. I will definitely continue to use Spectrum Sim card in the future.

I've yet to get one single second of data out of it and the only customer support you are going to get is via email. No phone number. They have a chat built into their app, but it's just a robot.

I had to use a T-Mobile data only sim for a hotspot for a remote camera and electronic lock, but the signal there (remote - country side) was so low it hardly worked. Also their plan (SIM, activation, and monthly) was more expensive.I looked also at using AT&T but their plan was also more expensive than Spectrum. Also hoping that the coverage was better than T-Mobile at this location.I got this SIM(spectrum) because it roams on the different networks. I assume my hotspot will find the network with the best signal. Anyhow it worked like magic. It found the best network (definitely not T-Mobile, maybe it was AT&T) and now I have camera and lock control at this remote site.I also had an initial issue that I wasn't able to get any data. Contacted Spectrum and within a day they got back to me and explained that I had to enabel roaming on my hotspot. As soon as I did that it worked.So great customer support. Activation and setting the plan also easy. Create an account, login, register the SIM and select the plan. The plan I got was only $10/month and more than adequate to support what I was doing.
