Damaged book - sold as "new"
This item was sold as "New" but that was definitely not the case. I received this book in a shipping container that was not damaged, but the book was in very bad shape. The front cover was broken and taped, and the back cover was ripped completely free from the spine, and then taped to the front cover. I'm very disappointed with this.

Meh
Bought recently. There is NO CODE ON MY BOOK to download the templates. Good luck connecting with anyone on this old book. The publisher website is not active. Too expensive for what you get.

Implementing Program Management Templates and Forms is HELPFUL to study for the PgMP Exam
The PMP exam was challenging to pass. The PgMP exam is even harder to pass on the first try. I am one of those people that did not pass on the first try. Now I'm studying even harder and searching for other highly recommended study materials. I find this book very helpful to understand and visualize the actual PgMP deliverables. I also like how this book explains the details on when you need to use these deliverables by domain. I recommend getting a copy of Implementing Program Management Templates and Forms to help study for the PgMP exam and to use at your job.

Help To Boostrap A Program
There's no real "standard" for program documents, do this is a great way to bootstrap a new program with material that meets the PgMP requirements. If you walk into a program that has inadequate historical support, this will really help you.

Even though this is a book of templates I expected just a bit more information instead of endless pages of templates.

Excellent PgMP Preparation Guide
This book was written primarily as a guide to help the practitioner understand the principles of program management so as to be able to successfully pass the current PMI PgMP examination; and secondarily to assist in the life cycle implementation of programs. It has clear explanations of each of the life cycle phases: Pre-Program, Initiation, Setup, Execution, Monitoring and Closure. It provides templates to assist in each phase of a program and clear explanations of the template contents. It can be used to provide many helpful suggestions to a program manager as well as best practices that are not found elsewhere. As with her other books Dr Levin writes from experience with clarity.

Horror story in program management
This is a frightening book. It seriously spends 300 pages in explaining formats and procedures in program management. It stimulates program managers to make numerous plans for all sorts of steps and aspects of the program. This is seriously advocated to be "implementing program management". Those who expect an analysis en recommendations how to implement program management will be disappointed: the behavior of professionals and their intellect is totally neglected. Implementing is a mechanical process: make formats and templates, instruct everybody to use them and the job is done. Benefits will be delivered. This naive image of change in organizations will frustrate any good-willing professional. If you really want to implement this way of working, you should read the article Major challenges to the successful implementation and practice of programme management in the International Journal of Project Management 2010.
