Just like the original; money well spent!
Fits & feels like the original & has a limited lifetime warranty! I replaced the multifunction switch on my 1996 Chevy Tahoe. The original one had a problem with the cruise & my low & high beams weren't working at all. I just followed the 1A Auto on YouTube and some other suggestions on a forum for removing the ignition cylinder to completely remove the top steering column cover in order to try & glue a screw hole piece back together that the GM dealer must have broken. I also removed the parking brake handle to get the under dash panel out of the way making it easier to get on the floor for the cruise control wiring clip replacement.Originally I checked the headlamp bulbs & they were good; the fuses were also good. I had checked the light switch & I came to the conclusion that there was a wire short somewhere so I took the vehicle to a GM dealer who diagnosed the problem as being the multifunction switch; that was $99.95 & I would get a discount of $10 if the did the work. The charges would be 119.97/hr labor 528.68 OEM for new GM Multifunction switch 389.04 After market and 2.4 hr for installation (from their list). It would have cost over $800 for OEM replacement or over $600 for the after market. The vehicle just had a $3500 trans replacement a year ago at the dealer; I just replaced the alternator myself costing $115 & had them replace the water pump because of a leak that was $600. which I should have done for less. The Tahoe blue book lists for $1500! So, I decided to DIY! Glad I did; It cost me the $99.95 diagnosis & $61 + change to replace it AND I repaired a the few pieces that were broke at the GM dealer. The 2 most difficult parts were the air bag & the ignition cylinder. Now everything works! And StockWise Auto had it here in 3 days, faster than scheduled! Thanks

Close but not perfect
The color is a much lighter gray than the original. The original and OEM replacements match the steering color dark grey. This is a light gray that does not match. Other than that the part looks identical.Trick to installing. You do not have to remove the steering wheel! For that one difficult to reach bolt get a thin mini ratchet. Also, you want one with a lot of teeth. It was still a bit tricky, but much easier than removing the steering wheel and airbag.

Totally works. What else do you want?
Feels a bit less skookum than the OEM stalk, but do you know how much Chevrolet wanted for one of these? $560. For the part. Itself. I asked them if it's now made out of solid gold. A pause. Negative response. So I bought this.Nothing wrong with the switch/stalk itself, but be prepared: replacing this may have been the most difficult auto repair I've ever done. And I've rebuilt a Japanese V6 from the crankshaft, and replaced ring gears & pinions in a 3/4 ton rear end with hand tools.

defective
everything works ok except the intermittent wiper switch. you turn it to 1st notch , it does not come on ,,turn it off then on again and it works. also when you turn it off , it does not come back to naeutral position. i would send it back , but it is too much labor to take it out and replace it!!! it would be nice if they would rebate some of the money back!!! If I would get a replacement , it probably has the same defect. ! am definetly not a happy man right now!!!

Fits/works just fine. Great money saving alternative to the extremely pricey alternative.
We had the classic broken off hazzard button on a 1995 c2500. This fixed it right up. I just couldn't see spending 300+ dollars for the OE part on a truck that is over 20 years old, and doesn't have that many miles ahead of it. The fit was just fine and it works as intended. No problems at all. Installation is a bit of a pain though. Do yourself a favor and pull the steering wheel. I didn't and it fought me the whole way.

Signal light switch
Great product so far. Replaced my old one cause my hazard light swithch didnt work. now My turn signals, hazard lights work. Also there was a delay on the windshield wipers when i hit the switch now it works better with this new one. Another note, you do not have to take off sterring wheel or air bag to remove old switch, just need 7mm socket T25 bit and vise grips. Will update review in a few months.

Brake lights are fixed!
Looks just like the stock unit. It fixed the brake light issue on a tahoe. Only the 3rd middle brake light was working. The 2 lower (main) brake lights go through this unit cause it uses the same wires for blinkers, hazard, and brakes. The 3rd middle light runs staight through from the brake pedal switch.
