Don’t buy
Since I first installed Mighty Mule products, it has been nothing but a constant stream of poor quality. As soon as I add a new item, the system had problems. Too many items on the system a customer service rep once said. But they were all their products. A wand to automatically open the gate on exit. Problems. The photo beam to protect the car from getting hit while the gate closes. Problems. The main board went out and I waited almost 2 years for a replacement. Now the system still doesn’t function. I want all products returned!

Works great!
Easy to install, easy to calibrate. works as described. Once calibrated and checked for proper function I used a bit of silicone to seal the upper area to further water proof this unit.

Electrical Engineer (me) says this product is TOTAL JUNK. DO NOT PURCHASE
I am an electrical engineer and have been using previous versions of the product for about 13 years. In the last 2-3 years, the product quality has fallen off a clifff, to the point where the units they ship aren't even effectively quality tested when they leave the factory. This particular unit would not operate: the beam was perfectly aligned, but it would not trip the switch. I tried different time responses too. I've seen this before. This is the third unit in as many years. I will be looking for another manufacturer, because continuing with Linear is just a complete waste of my time.

Hard to install
I consider myself handy and do all my own tech, I installed the gate opener while back and decided to install the eyes, but after spending hours I couldn't figure out how to connect it to gate opener, and finally gave up.The instruction says about how to connect the cables to the eyes, but didn't say anything how/where to connect 6 cables to receiver.
