I have an ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING motherboard, and recently the mic port stopped working. I was considering spending $60 on a new sound card, but decided to try this Sabrent USB External Stereo Sound Adapter instead, and I’m glad I did.Plugged it in, connected my HyperX Cloud Alpha headset, and the mic worked right away. I tested it, and the audio comes in crystal clear with zero issues.I’ve used other Sabrent products in the past, and they’ve always been reliable. This one is no different. Simple, effective, and a great value. Highly recommended if you're having onboard audio issues or just need a quick fix that works.

This was the single best, most cost-efficient item I have purchased in a long time. I thought I would have to take my computer to a computer repair shop in town, buy a new sound card and pay them to put it in. Instead an IT guy from work suggested trying a USB sound device and see if it worked. Well, it worked perfectly! For $12 or so it fixed my problem. It probably saved me around $100 to $200 it would have cost taking it elsewhere.

Literally plug and play. Works perfectly!I got this because my Valve Index mic quit working after many years. Using a different mic with a 3.5mm plug, this worked perfectly to allow my Index USB to accept the new mic. No delays, and everyone has told me the quality of my voice is better than ever.

This would be perfect it it were not for bad marketing...CM3271 chip-set only has the capability of handling one channel for the microphone. So ...MONO MIC ONLY...They advertise that the recording jack is also 3 pole TRS, which it is not, the recording jack is in fact 2 pole TRS.So hopefully that helps someone?

The onboard audio stopped working on my motherboard so I got this USB adapter and it was plug and play worked right out of the box all I had to do was plug it into my USB port and I once again had audio ports that worked without having to buy a new motherboard. Highly suggest for anyone who may have the same issue or if your PC just doesn't have standard mic/headphone ports

Improvement over analog line input, but in using it was also able to determine source of noise/interference is directly related to cable routing.Definitely a must have for those who do not have analog I/O on their devices.
