GoodThis is my first "water flosser" so I went cheaper. It is actually like a miniature pressure washer. It takes practise using it. Unlike using floss, you have to lean forward into the sink and let the water flow out of your mouth as you clean.

This is perfect to pack for travel. Little lighter pressure than full size, but great value & does the job.

Initially, I liked this water flosser a lot. It works well on larger food particles stuck between teeth near the gum line. I have a permanent retainer behind my bottom front teeth, so regular flossing is not easy and tartar builds up quickly. After I'd used this device a couple of months, I had a regular dental check up and everything seemed fine. Six months later, however, my dentist noted that my tartar build up was worse and asked about my flossing habits. I explained about the water flosser, and was told it is a poor replacement for actual dental floss. The water flosser can be an addition to the oral hygiene routine, but it only gets larger food particles and reaches the gaps between teeth at the gum; it does nothing to clean between teeth above the gum, where teeth are tighter together. Only actual floss can get in those tight spots between teeth. Then, after I had used this water flosser for about a year and a half, it suddenly stopped working completely. I changed the batteries (it eats through three AA batteries about every month), cleaned it thoroughly, nothing worked to get it working again. I ended up tossing it out. Disappointing both in terms of results and longevity. I am now back to using regular dental floss exclusively, and my dentist is much happier.

Easy to use , takes up little space compared to electric with a big water reservoir. Last about 30 seconds which is plenty if you use it on the daily!!Warm water is key to comfort:)

Is great water pick

First, I always buy the Waterpik brand. Strong enough, but not like the counter models, which I also use. I wish it held a little more water, but it’s portable. I dropped the unit and the on/switch popped out, but there is a picture of the switch taken off showing where the parts go so it was easy to fix. The battery model allows me to bring it on trips. I take it everywhere. My dentist always compliments me on my flossing.
