I chose this stopwatch particularly because it has a "silent" function. I need a stopwatch to time theatre shows and rehearsals and I don't need an annoying "beep" to sound every time I press a button.It has a nice weight to it and a good, clear display and has all the regular functions you'd expect: time, alarm, stopwatch, laps, etc. etc.Why 3 stars?First, It doesn't come with a case. I don't expect anything fancy at this price but a fabric slip case would be good. I can see that the screen is going to get easily scratched.Second, the control buttons seem just a touch flimsy to me so I'm not sure how durable they are. Still reasonably good quality overall.And third - and this really annoys me a great deal in this age of intercontinental trading - the instruction book is written in a strange, often unintelligible language that the manufacturer thinks passes for English. Examples:"Total elapsed time, split time or lap time are displayed at the same time in separate rows, and the can be measured successively without releasing split or lap time measurement could check the figure up and down by circlely."Or, better still: "Note: no noctilucan stopwatch Y key, M key in different styles take the difference and take the material as the criterion."I've had a few stopwatches with similar features and display modules so I can more or less work out how to operate the major features of this one. I have to admit that the manufacturer's English is a heck of a sight better than my Chinese, but I'd expect that if they want to sell stuff in the UK they'd at least run it past someone who spoke the lingo...?Anyway, if these things don't bother you too much, this stopwatch is a reasonably good buy.

Mit dieser Stoppuhr kann man sehr gut arbeiten. Am Anfang dachte ich, die Uhr wäre schwierig zu bedienen, aber wenn man sich ganz intensiv mit der Bedienungsanleitung beschäftigt, dann wird man begeistert sein.

Hier Antworten auf einige Fragen:1) Die Uhr lässt sich ausstellen, indem der kleine Menübutton (rechts auf 3 Uhr), c.a. 3-5 sec. gedrückt wird. Ebenso lässt sie sich wider aktivieren. Sollte der Wecker gestellt und aktiviert sein, funzt er auch bei ausgestellter Uhr, sie ist ab da wieder an.2) Der Piepton, der beim Dücken der Buttons zu hören ist, lässt sich abschalten, indem man den rechten (grossen) Button auch 3-5 sec. gedrückt hält. Anschalten auf gleiche weise.
