I have an old Ibanez solid Perspex Dan Armstrong copy from the Lawsuit years, it's not the highest quality guitar but it does have fairly good sustain from the two humbuckers installed. the problem has always been to get a bright sound. the guitar has a very mellow tone and I end up playing at the bridge a lot of the time. these strings have improved things no end, I can understand why if you have a very bright guitar already these might be too much and sound really tinny but on mine they are brilliant. They have also significantly reduced how tight i have to have the strings ( I have no idea how a previous reviewer managed to break 2 ) but despite this there is no buzz from my high E string which happens with many strings as the nut groove is worn and strings sit very low. These strings still deliver as much sustain as previously if not a little more so I'm really happy with them. Excellent.

Absolutely brilliant, a bit tighter than other 9s, so if you're struggling with 10s, try these. Fantastic stability on Gibsons.

Absolutely useless! Two of them snapped as I was tuning up and the remaining four strings make my Ibanez sound like a tambourine. I've always brought roto sound strings and hitherto couldn't fault them but these are the worst strings I've ever purchased.
