I wanted to share my experience with both the mailbox as well as the experience of installing it. First let's talk about the mailbox itself. It is gorgeous, hands down. It's well made and sturdy. It came well-packaged and undamaged. I unpacked everything and I was surprised when I took the main post out and saw that it was taller than I was, lol. The BrightLight website has a great video showing how to do the installation and I highly recommend taking a look at that before getting started. It's quick and clear.In terms of the installation, I assembled as much as possible in the house because it's been so hot outside. The template they provide for making sure the numbers line up perfectly, worked great. It can be a challenge to make sure the vinyl cut numbers don't move around on you when you apply them to the acrylic panels, but I used a toothpick to help my fingers and it came out perfectly as you can see in the pictures. The other minor tweak I did was I removed the arm from the post before putting the post in the ground and putting the concrete in the hole, so that it would balance a little easier. I literally got six compliments from neighbors walking by as I was just putting the post in the hole, on how beautiful it was. And I've even gotten more compliments now that it's been fully assembled and installed!What about the light? So I was a bit worried about this because I've had other solar powered devices and not been very happy. The solar light on this is both very bright, and lasts all night, and I was very pleasantly surprised that it works exactly as I would want. It looks fantastic in the evening and people actually think it's a line powered light, rather than solar, for how bright and sustained it is. The only thing I wished is that the color of the LEDs was slightly less white. I think a softer color would look nicer, but it's a very minor thing. The most important thing is that the light is bright and stays on all night, and that's definitely the case here.Lastly, I can't speak highly enough about the CEO John. Not only did he reach out to me directly to make sure everything was good with my order and go over some tips on the installation to help my experience be issue-free, but I had two minor challenges that he was extremely proactive in helping me sort through. The mailbox had, what looked like dust on it, which turned out to be some of the powder coating that might've accidentally spilled onto the mailbox after the powder coating process had been completed. He gave me some tips on cleaning the mailbox, and answered all my questions about it, which was fantastic. Also, I had a question about the self tapping screw to help tighten the arm, and where it should go in, and he called me back on a Saturday, to answer my question and make sure everything went great with the install! I mean, who gets that kind of service from the owner of a company these days?Here's the thing, this is an open and honest review and I believe people who do an amazing job should get an amazing review. That's why I took the time to write this and I hope you find it helpful to read as well!

We had to get a new mailbox when someone ran over ours, and I wanted something that looked nicer than your average run-of-the-mill mailbox. This one fit t the bill 100%. Put it up easily. Lights up address numbers at night and still soft glow the next morning. And we're getting a lot of complements from people walking around the neighborhood who also appreciate the look of it. So glad we got this!

What a great product. The instructions were well written with a few lines highlighted in yellow. The web- link listed on the instruction sheet took me straight to the video of an actual assembly and installation. Setting up the decals for my address was simple and the template provided offered several options based on the number of digits in my address and various sizes of numbers were provided as well to ensure a nice looking finished product. There are plenty of stick-on numbers provided to cover all possible combinations in an address and the numbers easily peel back up if placed a bit crooked. For look, the strength of the material and ease of assembly this mail box unit it worth the cost.

Mailbox is really well built and looks great. Solar light worked for about a month and then had some issues. Of the two sets of lights within the solar box, one stopped working so the brightness dimmed. Reached out to owner who told me to call him and he was not very helpful. He said they had put "thousands of these lights through rigorous testing and they don't fail so quickly." So essentially I have a really nice mailbox but one of the key features doesn't work and the company was not willing to work with me to repair/replace.

My siblings and I got this for my mom for Mother’s Day and she loves it. It took me about a day to install (we had a ton of roots to dig through) it works great!!When you’re installing it, DO NOT overly tighten the the bolts inside the mailbox that attach to the arm. I cranked them real good and the doors wouldn’t close right since it was so tight. Easy fix: loosened them. I also don’t think I put enough cement in the hole so I just filled the column with rocks and it worked really well. That thing isn’t going anywhere!Great purchase, my mom loved it. It’s a really gorgeous mailbox and the light on top is bright enough but not at all too bright like I had worried it would be.

I can't stand flimsy mailbox posts. We live in the country and have had just plain wooden posts and then more decorative, plastic mailboxes and posts. None have held up or looked nice. This one definitely does. We won't be replacing this mailbox and post. It is heavy duty and looks really nice. I had originally ordered the bronze, after debating between it and the black. The owner of the company was nice enough to call me and recommend I not get the bronze because the finish hasn't been lasting beyond 5 years. How great was that! We now have the black and it looks so good at the end of our driveway. My husband dug the hole and set the post in cement. It's not going anywhere. The mailbox is heavy duty, has a nice red flag, and holds a decent amount of mail. I highly recommend.

I searched for weeks for a lighted mailbox. BrightLight Solar Mailbox met all my requirements, can you call a mailbox elegant? This one is, it looks great, it’s sturdy, was easy to install, love the lighted address numbers but the most important was John, the owner. He was easy to reach, always answered his phone, very helpful and professional. John really made the difference. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this product and company.
