Great sound, amazing value for money
Thought I'd take a chance on this as a small and compact amp and headphone amp to stream to. I was skeptical about the bluetooth sound quality and the valves (gimmicks?), however have been very pleasantly surprised. After a period of use (maybe a few days, 2 or 3) the sound definitely improved, more bass, more open. Sounds really great. So far only been able to try on headphones but the sound quality is up there. For the price is it amazing. Also, the headphones I have, Beyer DT-880 pro being high 250Ohm professional headphones, I thought this little amp would struggle but it does a very great job. Maybe it can't reach deafening levels but it goes loud enough and sounds really clear and clean. There is no noise at all that I can hear, even over bluetooth (impressive) at any volume level, even max.I look forward to trying this on some real speakers, I have some Elacs in mind, potentially. Having (a long time ago) designed my own class-D amps I know how good they can sound, despite my own initial beliefs about it.It seems valves and class-D amplification is actually a really nice combination, if done right. The valves supplied actually sound great after a little use - however I have the new USA GE 5654W to try next, once I have really got to know the stock sound first, so I can compare. I imagine these will take a little use to get to their peak too.So, pros;Amazing value for moneyVery well madeCompact, great small sizeGreat sound. Clean, no noiseUpgrade options with the valvesWorks out of the box with Apple / MacOS and iPhones as well as other platforms and codecsBluetooth is reliable, connects immediately every time! No fuss, unlike many fiddly productsIf I were to suggest some improvements I would suggest;Upgrade it to the very latest bluetooth standards, I was sad to see only BT 4 currentlyRemove the detent notched bass and treble controls, just use a linear controls, with a single center detent onlyAdd a tone defeat, it sounds good enough this can be bypassed nearly always. Defeat would be less essential if you change bass and treble detents. Also the volume doesn't really need detents either, at allEnsure headphone socket connection disconnects the speaker outs, no one ever needs both at same time. Make it switched output on the speakers.I guess that's it really, of course more features would be nice, but for the price and size I think the about low-cost improvements would make it really an amazing product for the price.Pre outputs and power amp inputs would be amazing, but for the size it's not even clear you could fit them, so wishful thinking I think here. So, pretty pleased, 5*It is rare to find simple audio equipment at this price that works so well.I hope it can drive small/medium speakers okay - will see in timeI'm already happy with the sound so if the new valves improve it, that is quite something for small additional costI have had lots and lots of hi-fi equipment over the years including $5k speakers, so I do recognize decent sound. This definitely seems to have it, honestly if it had some fancy brand name on it, people would be paying $$$ more for it, no doubts.

It checked my all my boxes
This is my first purchase into better audio. I'm a newbie and wanted to start with quality on a budgetThis setup if for my computer, I spend a lot of time in front of it and I enjoy music. I've had the Logitech setup with the subwoofer and that was to bulky and the speakers had so much high-end sound. I went from there to the Amazon Basics USB Plug-n-Play Computer Speakers . While nice for a laptop and required listening. I wanted something more but not over the top.Update: A few months later... I am still loving this. I am so glad I purchased this, Especially for my Denon headphones. What difference between the CPU speaker jack and the Fosi. Not only the Denons, but my regular wired earbuds. Even if you aren't an "Audiophile" but enjoy music, this Fosi (tube or tubeless) is a great place to start.I wanted a passive speaker system, because with powered I was always limited to preset wire length and where the power was located. With passive, my amp is plugged into the power bar mounted under my desk. The speaker wires run through my cable management system(Black Box 2.25" H x 1.5" W, 72" L Black Slotted-Duct Raceway). Because my desk is smaller I went with the minimalist PERLESMITH Universal Speaker Stands. They are great and not a big foot print. Now to the review.I really like the Fosi, because it has a a Bluetooth option (I hope that the Fosi dev team would put the Bluetooth switch on the front though, That would make this unit exceptional), a headphone output, banana plug or screw knob option for the speaker wires, the old school look of the tubes and the size is relatively small and it sounds great. I did a lot of research with amps and speakers on youtube. I was able to find side by side comparisons of amps (in this price range) with and without tubes. For me, the tubed version has a deeper / richer sound.Once I decided on the amp, I did the same with speakers. Being on a budget, it really came down to the Edifer P12's and the Klipsch R-41M. From the Youtube reviews both sounded great, but the Klipsch's had a deeper sound and for me, that's something I like. The selling point however for me was the Edifers only had the knob to screw tighten the speaker wires, where the Klipsch R-41M have the banana plug option.I hope this helps....
