Convenient and useful... just not in stock
I have three of these and would get more, but they are not in stock.These are a tidy way to work with Waveshare epaper.

Driver problem on Mac
Couldn't get this to talk to ESPHome. Holding down Boot buttons for ages, Resetting, disconnecting and reconnecting. Eventually the page said it had done it, but the device never came online. Tried this about ten times. Turned out I needed to UNINSTALL some CH340 drivers on my Mac and use the OS X ones instead. Then a new device appears under /dev/ and that worked. None of the online guides mentioned this possibility, so docking 1 star!

Contact Waveshare before doing anything else!
Waveshare were very helpful. I did have problems but they did resolve them.

This is an old-stock item, Waveshare updated it last year, not happy.
The board is the old-style Waveshare interface for e-paper displays, the latest version has a switch to disable the on-board UART and greatly reduces power when the ESp32 is placed into sleep mode. I don't expect to get old stock that no-one else wants!Picture shows the new one.I would have given it zero starts if I could have.
