Decora wall switch with nightlight installed
Works as described. I installed it in a dark garage to control an outside light. You can see in my picture that I wrote the word "ON" under the switch on the right side as a reminder because the light it controls is located outside of the garage/not visible from the switch area, and I'm used to switches toggling up/down not left/right. The nightlight in the switch is not as bright as some of those adjustable rounded nightlights that plug into an electric outlet, but the light in this switch does glow enough to dimly light the immediate area near it in the garage, which is certainly better than total darkness. When on, you can see the 2 little LEDs located behind that whitish plate at the top of the switch, and they create a soft glow. (In the picture the light looks very bright in the dark, but in person it's more of a soft glow.) For my particular needs I wish it was brighter, but it's probably the perfect brightness for a bathroom switch for people who wake up in the middle of the night and don't want to turn on the bright bathroom lights. Installation was easy for me; I'm not an electrician. Some wall switches have little holes you can simply push the rigid wires into then the wires are automatically clamped into place, but this switch does not have those so you must wrap the electric wires around the screws. The screws are colored: brass screw by itself on one side of the switch for the black hot wire that is supplying power into the switch, on the other side of the switch is another brass screw for the black load wire that sends power out to the item being controlled (my outside light) then a silver screw for the white neutral wire, then a green screw for the ground wire. You must have a white/neutral wire for this switch/nightlight to work properly. If you do not know how to safely tell the difference between the 2 black wires (one is the hot wire that always has power to it; the other carries power to the item the switch controls) then I suggest you seek help...safety first as always. The instructions that are included in the box with this switch are good and have much more detail than I listed here.

Has a Separate Neutral Wire, On/Off Switch, and an Automatic Night Light
This lighted switch has its own separate neutral wire so I was able to use it in the kitchen as an automatic (always on) night light while the switch separately controls the garbage disposal motor as a true on or off (no electric current pass through when off) switch. Works great as a true on or off switch for the garbage disposal, and the separate light is nice and bright enough to see where one is walking at night through the kitchen. My only issue is that there is no light sensor adjustment. The sensor only turns the light all the way off on my switch when a fairly bright light is shined directly on the sensor. In other words, even in the daytime, the night light is usually "on" albeit dimmer than it gets at night when it is on at full light intensity. So it is using more electricity than needed, but the sensor on my switch may be calibrated differently than on another identical switch. I wish it had an adjustment similar to many newer LED dimmer switches. Without any way to calibrate the sensor, I have a night light that is usually on in the day - albeit dimmer than at night - too. Other than that caveat, it's a great combo switch and fits my need well. Many lighted switches pass a small amount of current through them to light the switch. This adds wear and tear to a garbage disposal motor. This switch provides both a light at night and does not pass any current on to the disposal when the switch is off when wired correctly. One of the few lighted switches with a separate neutral wire I was able to find at the time of this posting. I like the switch and recommend it even with the above caveat in mind.

Perfect for a bathroom
I was looking for a switch when I found this one. The night light is perfect, it's not to bright or intrusive and it automatically turns on and off. The switch was easy to install. The side terminals had a copper gripper under the screw, so all you have to do is strip the wire place it under the gripper and tight screw and you were ready to go. No need to make the little hook on the bare wire hope you did it the right way or use those stab connections which are impossible to remove. It is a little bigger than a regular switch but I had not problem fitting it in the outlet box. For the light to work you need both the hot and neutral wire.

Excellent. Thinking of putting these all over my house
This thing is magical. I put it in our bathroom. It's just enough light to allow someone to see at night to go to the bathroom without turning on the full light and burning out their retinas. Looks pretty sleek and modern too.I almost didn't install it because of so many people saying they didn't have a neutral wire in their electrical box (which this requires). I don't know much about home wiring, so I was worried I would need an electrician or something. After reading up, the neutral wire is just the white wire. If your house was built in the 80s or later, your almost guaranteed to have a neutral wire. The only other challenge was figuring out which black wire was "hot" and which was the "line". For that, get an induction electrical tester for $10 at home depot, flip off the breaker, disconnect the old switch and splay the wires out of the box so they don't touch. Flip back on the breaker and use the tester to figure out which black wire has power. That's your "hot" one. The other black is the "line", and the white is the "neutral" (plus the green ground wire). Shut the breaker back off, connect them up per the diagram, and you should be good to go.Note, this doesn't come with a switch plate cover. Will cost you another $.97 - $1.97 at Home Depot or similar.

Perfect amount of light
I use this as a guide light in my bathroom and it gives off just the right amount of light that I don't have to turn on the overhead light, but not so bright that my eyes have to readjust.

Switch Works Well
This seems like a very high quality. The switch is very reliable and feels high quality. The overall build of the product is nice. It feels high quality, well designed, and sturdy.I wasn't able to get the nightlight part of it working even using the instructions based on my wiring. I don't fault the product for it but it would have been good to know that it won't work in all wiring setups.
