I was given a 10 year old Homelite weed wacker that would not run but had not been used much. The fuel tank tubing was rotted so I replaced the whole tank and one of the three bumpers that secures it. Then, it kind of ran but poorly. After reading up on starting problems, I went and ordered this carb at a far lower cost than the Homelite OEM part. The only thing I had to do was swap the choke lever in the old one for this one which involved pulling the butterfly plate out, pulling the choke lever out, and making sure I did not loose the ball bearing that was the detent. I got the lever back in with the ball bearing detent working and slid in the butterfly plate. The motor started on the 2nd pull and ran smoothly for the very first time ever! While the basic carb does fit the UT20760, the choke lever supplied interferes with the air cleaner housing forcing one to swap it out from the one i the old carb. You have to first pull out the butterfly plate but a needle-nose pliers and a little bit of pull and it comes right out. That's why the 4 stars for "easy to install" instead of 5. Just make sure you watch the orientation it belongs in before pulling it out.Yes, I could have spent 3-4x as much for a homelite OEM part and not had to change the choke but why when swapping out the butterfly/choke lever was easy to do. The fact that it "fixed" my starting problem immediately caused me to write this positive review.

My old weed eater had been hanging in the garage for 14 years. I pulled it down to have a look at it and the primer bulb and fuel lines had hardened and fell apart. I was going to clean the carb and just replace the bulb and lines. But for a few dollars more, this replacement made more sense. Replacement was easy and the thing fired up with just a couple pulls. I think I may need to make an idle adjustment, but haven't looked at it yet. Should be good to hang back up and forget about for a few more years, lol!

Served the purpose

My Homelite UT20772 weed eater was not running good at all. Just needed fuel lines. But for the price of this kit, I figured what the hell. Turned my weed eater back into a beast. No carb adjustment needed. After installing, thing fired up like it was a beast. Used twice since. Starts easy. Runs great.

Was initially looking for a rebuild kit for a Zama carburetor for a Homelite Versatool. This was shown as the replacement with all the extras. Took about 15 minutes to install new carb, fuel filter, plug, and air filter... would have taken that long just to replace the diaphragms and o-rings for the carb alone. Only a few bucks more. Unit started up and no adjustment needed for low or high speed control. Unit was back to working like new. Would buy HIPA products again.

Put this on a 2001 home lite 25cc weed wacker and it fired right up immediately could use a little adjustment due to engine being old and not having same compression as new butt started up within three pulls and runs great! Awesome fix for the price kept my machine alive !

I ordered another brand for my Homelite weedeater that I had order previously (about 2 years ago). The Homelite had only been used once or twice during that time. Ethanol added to regular gas is a death sentence, if left in the carburetor. Put it on and the weedeater would not even fire. Checked the ignition coil and it was OK. Spark plug was OK. Fuel mixture was OK. Adjusted the high and low settings which didn't do a thing to make it fire. Ordered this brand from Amazon, put it on and it fired up immediately. On high, it was running a little lean so adjusted it slightly and it runs like new. The other brand has been returned.

Went right on with a little tuning. Thanks
