Safariland 7378 7TS ALS Paddle and Belt Loop Combo Holster, Fits GLOCK 19/23, SafariSeven Plain Black, Right Hand

Prints a little more but comfortable and secure with smooth draw.
Bought this because it matches my duty holster so I already have experience drawing from it. I've only worn it on my hip with the paddle and it does print a little more than I'm used to but it comes with a belt loop attachment, allen key and screws so with a swap I may be able to get it to ride closer to the body. I'm definitely confident in the retention of the holster and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Comfortable and secure
This holds my Glock 19 (Gen3) on my hip for open or concealed carry. The inside paddle is curved to fit your hip and hold your gun right around 3:00. I find that the position it holds the gun in works well for me for sitting or standing, and still keeps the gun in easy reach. That's good because the holster isn't adjustable; the position it sits on your hip, the height and the cant are all fixed and can't be changed. Despite that, I've been wearing this holster every day, from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night, and it's comfortable enough that I don't notice it most of the time. The gun slides in and locks with a mechanism that grabs the ejection port of the gun. There is a noticeable click when it locks so you know it is secure. The release is a small button near your thumb when you go to grab your gun. It's extremely secure; I haven't been able to make the gun move around at all when it is locked in. Between the actual holster and the paddle it is very tight, plus there is a hook that grabs the bottom edge of your belt, so it is nearly impossible for someone to pull the holster off of your body. I am wearing it with a 1 3/4" belt; I imagine it would have a little more play and maybe not be quite as secure on a thinner belt.I do carry concealed with this holster too, but I probably wouldn't buy it for that if that were the only use I would have. It does conceal well for me under a large, loose shirt, but it's still an OWB holster and it's pretty far away from your body. If you want to wear tighter clothing or absolutely can't ever have any printing this isn't the holster for you.

Comfortable while sitting and driving and very secure.
I use it while working as an armored truck driver/hopper. I can go 10 to 12 hours with this thing on my hip and it is like it isn't even there. I never feel the need to adjust it and it is comfortable while walking, sitting and driving. It is secure and looks decent as well. The best part is the thumb release. I am using it with the paddle on a regular belt and sometimes on a duty belt. There is a hook that grabs the bottom of the belt to secure it and prevent attempts at grabbing it as seen in my 1st pic. It is light and compact compared to the old school leather holster I used before with a .38 revolver. I highly recommend it and any similar Safariland models. I've seen many local police and sherriffs using similar Safariland holsters for the Glock 17. The plastic is sturdy and has held up well in the face of daily use and abuse. It has some scratches especially on the paddle. But it is hard to notice and there are no major ones or any cracks. It is structurally very strong. There is a woman I worked with a few times who has the level 3 version of this for Glock 19 which has strap that goes over the top. As a concealment holster, this is not great. It shouldn't really even be advertised as a concealment piece. You can't conceal it unless you wear a jacket and at that point almost any holster can be concealed. I bought a nice simple inside the waist holster from Gould and Goodrich for that purpose. This Safariland is an open carry holster only, in my opinion.

First, Second, Third...
First, I love the ALS locking system. It's solid and does not slow one down when drawing the firearm.Second, the material seems to do exactly what is stated, in that it will not maar one's firearm. It did give me a scare as I noticed marks on my Glock but these easily wiped away. It was simply material from the new holster wearing away.Third, I hate the paddle. OMG what a horrid system as one cannot get it on smoothly and easily even when trying to follow the convoluted instructions provided.. These people do realize a paddle is suppose to come on and off easily, correct? I am not so sure.I am in the process now of trying to modify it to make it easier to don. Why? Because I know I will not wear it if it is a horrid hassle to put on.Oh! This is definitely not a 'concealment' holster, no matter what they tell you. Furthermore, when used strictly with the belt attachment, it is definitely worth the $40. Pity about the paddle though...

THE BEST BY FAR
Safariland 7TS ALS holster. WOW OK I bought this holster as suggested from a friend of mine who is an X officer still carries and is and avid shooter.I have tried and use many other holster I'm a fan of leather until now. This holster is the most comfortable of all my holsters. Unlike regular belt holsters, I barely know I'm wearing it because it does NOT pull on your belt pulling you pants down. I have always hate that, either you have to tighen your belt until it hurts or wear a sagging pistol, Never again. It sits very close to my body in fact could not sit any closer for concealment but most of the time I open carry. It rides so comfortably close to your body my arm doesn't even hit it all the time like my other holsters.SOFirst of all it LOOKS Awesome, top quality workmanship to the tee. Finish is perfect, every edge meet perfect and everything rounded smooth 10 stars for Quality and ComfortMy G19 fits perfect slips right in and locks tight n secureThumb release works perfect like it should, a very natural position as you crab your pistol the release is right there and your thumb will automatically release the lock every time its Awesome. Even thought there is no thumb break like I'm use to with my OLD leather holsters, I feel very safe carrying knowing how well it locks into position.I would give this holster a 10+ if I could....I'm going to buy one right now for my G20 10mm and a few more to follow. Thanks Safariland
