Pick Your Stitch, Build a Blanket: 80 Knit Stitches, Endless Combinations Paperback – January 21, 2015

Back in early April, I fell (or flew) down the staircase in my home and shattered my left ankle with a high impact triple compound fracture. I was lucky that there happened to be a specialist in that sort of injury in a nearby hospital because otherwise, I could have had to suffer an amputation. I am still in a boot with a cane or walker going through physical therapy, but at least he didn't have to amputate. I've been crochet and knitting presents for my husband's family feverishly in my extended down time. This book has given me new stitches and ideas to use and has literally saved me throughout this unpleasant obstacle in my life!

This is the second copy of this book that I purchased. I used the first copy so much that I wore out some of the pages. I’ll be more careful this time since I love this book.

Printed on high quality, easy to read, made to last. The organization of all the stitches in colorful swatches along with the pattern of stitches is great and very helpful in expanding your skill set.Plenty of Afghans to choose from for any level and they are marked accordingly.The Big Block Sampler in particular has helped me to expand and regain skills from 35 years ago as a returning kniter. Plan to make 3 or 4 others in the intermediate range ( 2 as gifts)!

I am having a lot of fun making squares. The summer is too warm to knit a whole blanket together, but the squares are just the thing and I will not get bored because each square can be different. A wonderful book.

This book is perfect for anyone wishing to start knitting blankets and throws. There are so many patterns to choose from and the instructions are superb.

Great book that explains how to construct a blanket, using the lovely stitch patterns we knitters tend to collect. My only wish is that the author would have included a few more already "built" examples. This concept book could be followed up with another book and more samples.
