Good for someone who looks at any car and goes "i can fix that"
Always carried in the glovebox of my most unreliable vehicles, works every time when they inevitably break down

Helped me a lot
I've used this many times on different vehicles, and it's always been able to read the fault codes and clear them. Simple to use and nice aditional features such as live data reads.Used it to diagnose misfires on an Astra and find corrosion on the coil pack, as well as a bad O2 sensor on a Corsa.

Basic but does the job
Simple to use. Note that it doesn't work for cars like Tesla (which have a different OBD connector)

Brilliant. Well worth the money. Much better than many at this price point.
Brilliant. So good for the money. Clears codes and reads them and even gives you the detail of the code. Best I’ve had for the price point. Will keep it in the car from now on.Cleared the service vehicle soon light on Vauxhall which some won’t do.

Excellent value for money
I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta 1.6 auto fitted with the infamous DSG dry clutch transmission which has had relatively minor problems over the low mileage (21000) that it has done from new. The vehicle has been serviced totally in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and has had numerous transmission programme updates throughout that mileage.Since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic this vehicle has been parked up (apart from moving it around the drive) and consequently when I came to move it last weekend the battery was flat and so had to be recharged. After recharging the battery a message appeared on the dashboard to say "Transmission Malfunction, Service now".On driving the vehicle it would not change above 3rd gear and then randomly the engine revs would suddenly rise but the vehicle still held a low gear. I could not get rid of the message and so was forced to book the vehicle in with our local ford dealers service department.I was informed that due to the pandemic they were extremely busy and they could not look at it for at least 10 days at which time I felt forced to book it in. At that point I was informed that the charge would be £168.00 for the diagnosis and then any repair costs on top of that and they would need the car for several days. After studying many web sites and seeking advice there was a common theme suggesting that a possible remedy might be obtained by correcting a poor connection on the main earth lead, and this I attended to. However the problem persisted.I then found the OBD code reader on Amazon web site at a cost of £33.50 plus postage and thought It was worth a punt. The reader was delivered the following day and within 15 minutes the fault message was deleted and a road test demonstrated that the vehicle performance "appeared" to be back to normal with a saving of at least £130.00 and no loss in the use of the vehicle.I appreciate that the reader is not intended to be seen as a professional solution but I am completely satisfied with the result so far and it has more than paid for itself with just one check. I will leave you to guess whether or not I cancelled the workshop reservation with three days notice, and would have no hesitation in recommending this product based on my admittedly limited experience in its use.

Doesn't work on 2004 Mini R50 / R52
Doesn't work on 2004 Mini R50 / R52 - had to purchase a more expensive one but saving this for any other / future cars I have. It did work on a VW transporter and quickly generated code with brief description below. Disappointed it doesn't work on all OBDII vehicles as it is cheap and very easy to use!

Does not make you a mechanic for 20quid
Used this for my Peugeot 206 year 2000 this is a great tool for reading and clearing faults and diagnostics.I have mechanical knowledge I have read through a good few reviews about this tool and am disappointed by a lot of the bad reviews please EDUCATE YOURSELF on how these tools work is it right for your vehicle it is not a mechanic in a box for 20 odd quid get a grip there's a internet out there and bye a Haynes manual to you cheapskates sorry but if your a Barney bodger your a Barney bodger also be aware you are using this tool to talk to the cars ECU unite codes are there for a reason usually to tell you these components need attention simply clearing them does not mean there ok now the ECU is a very sensitive clever piece of engineering used to monitor and control many other sensitive components often many jobs require special tools to do jobs these cost mechanics a fortune as I and many others know ( I have spent thousands on my tools over the years)yes some mechanics are over priced but many are not you will find some who want to recover these costs but a good mechanic will suffer these costs alone as it's our chosen profession so please bear this in mind before judging what you have no knowledge about ask yourself do you charge for your profession I'm all for people diying I'm one myself but please EDUCATE YOURSELF first you can do irriparable damage to your vehicle if you don't know what your doing love to you all Dom x
