Really restricts flow to about 60% of what a full sized traditional hose moves in terms of volume.Update 10-21-17: this hose suddenly broke in the center section and is now unusable. This is one of three expandable hoses I've purchased from different sellers/brands. You'll note that you can't return it after a short period of time under this product's sales policy. That is an indication of their lack of confidence in this product, which is understandable considering my experiences at least. I've never left this in the sun, and during the 7 occasions that I've used it, I did not stretch it completely out or even bend it around corners. While this hose is seemingly convenient, the design and materials simply aren't made to last. Too bad though, it would otherwise be a nice concept.

Love it. Light and easy to use. Neighbors have told me that the hose has a tendency to burst if you leave the water running but the hose closed leaving the water and pressure to build up in the hose. I'll be sure NOT to do this. Great hose so far!

At first, based on most of the reviews, I thought this would be a decent hose, w/a few extras thrown in...I felt $40.00 was a fair price......seemed to work well until the outer layer began to fray.....after only 3 uses??!! I certainly didn't expect that...and it was w/normal light use....disappointed. I'd return it if I didn't toss the packaging...I suppose I'll use it for however long it lasts....I should have considered an old-school rubber/vinyl version. It may take up more room, but it'd be more durable.

Defective product, inner hose burst at connection when first used and water sprayed everywhere. I have used other expandable hoses over the past several years and 2 of the 3 still work fine, though they do not get extensive use. Thought I would try a new manufacturer which seemed to market its product as superior quality with strong warranty. It did not kink, but it wanted to twist from the start. It had what seemed to be higher quality connections and a nice spray attachment. Returning product to Amazon since it was purchased less than 30 days ago. I do this out of principle, since it is hardly worth the effort for an item that cost less than $20.

I never thought I'd say this about a hose, but this set is surprisingly well thought out. The hose is lightweight, but has excellent quality fittings (unlike other "lightweight" hoses I've owned). It expands when the water is on, and contracts when it is not, minimizing the storage profile, and they put an valve at the end of the hose simplifying turning it on and off from the end you're actually at.The four star rating is for the spray nozzle that comes with it, which is only mediocre - it's inexpensive plastic and the spray patterns don't all work. The hanger also won't fit over any of our outdoor faucets, which are the more up-to-date design that with the anti-freeze mechanism built in.

Worked great for one season. Drained and stored in a 55 degree basement over the winter and it and a second one I bought both leaked miserably.

This hose and kit has exceeded my expectations. The couplings are heavy duty and adhered securely to the hose. I love how lightweight it is! Hauling my old hose to the gardens was a chore, but not with this! So easy! I think this is a very well made product and with a little care will last a very long time! The sprayer is great for gentle watering on my gardens and plants. It was our fault, leaving the faucet on a little. The hose separated at the source,spraying in all directions. Up until then it was lightweight (a little too short forour uses, we should have realized) and easy to transport and use. We'd usedit less than a dozen times but over a year or so.
