Wait for prices to come down
I got it for $32 in 2022 and it’s a good deal for that much. It’s too cheap and childish looking to spend about $50. G-Shock style but this one looks a little worse the longer you look but I still love it, and it displays all the info you need.Straps fade a little compared to the bezel over time and “tough solar / illuminator” is completely gone but gave the watch a cleaner look lol. Great beater, gym, and everyday watch.Took a while to figure out. A YouTube video, and the instructions helped. I have cheap 7 Casios now and counting, and if you can master this one you can figure them all out. When in doubt, hit mode a bunch of times. It’s really not that hard and you’re gonna wanna figure out how to cycle through the display showing the correct time, weekday, and date with Daylight Savings Time on or off (don’t forget it like I did at first lol)

Casio for the win.
Talk about bang for your buck! This watch looks great. And with the silicone band, it doesn't slide around on your wrist like a metal band. Out of the box, it is in a sleep state with both hands at 12 and the digital display off. Pressing a button causes the digital display to turn on. Then set your time zone and that's it. I didn't have to set the time or date. Once I picked my time zone, the hands moved to the correct time. How awesome is that for a $35 watch?! Some people said that the light is hard to see, but I thought it was fine. It does only light up the digital portion, but it is a clear amber color and makes it easy to read the display. Also the battery reserve meter is handy just to see how much juice is left (it had 50% out of the box). I have a Seiko and a Citizen, and I like this Casio just as much, plus I was able to buy 2 different colors for the price of the Seiko.

Analog for ever
Analog watches are easier to read than digital when I'm on a long bike ride. Dark nights are easy to tell how late I am with the glow dial. It's also very stylish. Great bank for the buck.

Awesome value, does it all, just not for me
Solar powered, nifty features including the ability to change time zones digitally, followed by the analog handset automatically moving into the correct position. Not sure who needs “5 alarms” but that’s there also. The color scheme is great fun with Ferrari-theme hot red on black outlines with white accents. The dial really works too with monochromatic grays, a sharp, bold handset, and one of the few integrated digital displays that I actually like (I think the slanted angle of the digital display really helps it all come together). For me, this watch is actually better looking than the g-shocks that I’ve seen, and there is something fulfilling about how it has what you need (100m water resistance) and not what you don’t at a very very reasonable price point. All that being said I prefer the Casio MRW200H non-solar, analog only watch. There is just a fit, feel and finish to that watch I love (reviewed separately). I like a watch case with intuitive round contours as well as a traditional crown rather than pushers/buttons. Also, I would’ve appreciated a matte finish rather than shiny for the plastic. The lume and “illumination” of the digital window are underwhelming. But that’s just me being picky, for most everyone else, hard to see how you could wrong with this one.

Great kids watch
I got this for an 11 year old and he freaking loves it. It's big (but not too big), its red and it keeps time pretty well. I like that it has five alarms as I mainly got my kids watches so I could set alarms for various daily events (get up, bus time, homework time, etc). For the price they are a very good value. Not sure about long-term durability, but it's certainly a hit at the outset.

It has to be quartz for my age, sorry
The only problem with the watch was I am 86 years old and didn't know the watch was solar powered and I too old to keep it charged and plan to replace it with a quartz wrist watch

Good Watch, Looks Cheap
I've had this watch for a little more than a year now, so I can speak to it with some authority. I will lay out the positives, then the negatives.I've worn this watch every day and it is holding up really well. When you first get it, it will be at medium charge - it's a ten-year rechargeable battery that does better with direct sunlight than it does with UV rays filtered by the glass of your windows. Indoor lighting does very little for it, just so you know. When I first got it, I looked over the directions and figured out how to set the time, which you can only set on the digital display. Once you do that, the watch will synch the analog hands to match. I set the time and set the watch in the window. I left it there and it took about two weeks to get the charge level up to high. It has yet to go back down to medium and it hasn't had an awful lot of outdoor exposure. My opinion, based on usage, is that an hour of outdoor sun charges it for a week. The watch is very durable. Some of the lettering, "Tough Solar" and whatever it said on the bottom, have long faded, but that's the only thing that has worn off. The watch is very light and on the large side. Its diameter is 1 1/2 inch, which is about the width of my 7-inch wrist. Because the watch bands connect to the bezel at top and bottom, the band rounds my wrist in such way as to leave sizeable air pockets on the corners beneath the watch band and it sits loosely and comfortably on my wrist and stays in place. I have a cheap $15 Casio dive watch that relentlessly wants to move to the underside of my wrist if I wear it comfortably and the Tough Solar watch doesn't move because of its size. Now for the negatives: The rubberized plastic has a glossy look that makes the watch look cheap. This is also where the biggest wear and tear is showing because the red color is wearing off on the edges of the band and those portions are turning black. It makes the watch look unsightly and I've had to purchase a black Tough Solar with a matte finish to replace this red one as my daily go-to.The Tough Solar is also tricky to get used to. As some other reviewers have noted, you cannot manually set the time. The commands are a little complicated, so don't try to learn it by playing with it - use the written directions that come with the watch. Read over it before you start playing around with the watch to get acquainted with it first out of the box.If you are attracted to this watch based on the photos and like the shade of red, please be advised what you see in the photos is not represented of reality. The watch is somewhere between scarlet and red orange - something similar to Vermillion but not the medium shade of red that it appears to be in the photos. It's a nice watch for the price, but I've been wearing it for a year and the band is starting to become discolored in corners and along the edges by turning black from wear. I don't work in a coal mine or anything, so I'm pretty easy on it despite wearing it every day. I ended up ordering a black one because I couldn't get it to come clean and remove the staining or whatever it is.

Best Value "almost" G Shock Casio watch - and solar powered!
Just get it! You might not be able to run it over with a tank like the other G Shock models, but it will be more than tough enough for almost every person out there, and it is solar powered! Accurate within a few seconds over a month, and looks amazing. The shiny red Case and Band draw lots of attention and are very comfortable. Great deal for the money!
