Essential CSSLP Exam Guide: Updated for the 2nd Edition

This is the greatest text to pass the CSSLP exam! I also purchased and recommend the audiobook which is read by the actual author. He did an outstanding job!Buy both of them!

Compared to other books on CSSLP this book goes into better technical details about the various security concerns. For a technologist this book is much easier reading than others.

I bought this kindle book and audible version as a study guide. The kindle version does not have a table of contents (it is disabled on all devices) and the audible version only has chapter numbers listed, but no descriptions. Screen shots of both are attached.If you want a book to read like a novel, the content is fine, but if you are actually looking for an Exam Guide (as the title suggests) this is NOT it.

Informative and useful as a reference, it is good value for money. If you're using it to study for the exam be aware that it is not broken into the domains and contains no quiz questions.

I would give this book 5 stars if the publishers of this book would put chapter titles in the table of contents(TOC). I bought this book on Audible. I have read through the official ISC2 book and the All-in-One book. I would say that Phil's narrative and explanation of the topic is outstanding. I listen in the car on my way to work or while running. When I'm done, I often want to review some topics and take notes because he does such an amazing job explaining things. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find exactly where I want to go, because the TOC is just chapter numbers! Reviewing chapters has caused me to lose my place and I wound up re listening to the same chapters until I wound up where I left off. I recommend bookmarking every time you finish a session.EDIT: I went back to the beginning and found the author (Phil), addresses that the publishing company does not have a TOC. Chapter 2 of this book is just a list of the chapter titles which he reads out. Unfortunately, the publishing company numbered the chapters off by one, because of the TOC. I have a feeling this might have been a point of contention with the author himself. I listed all of the titles out and put it in a cloud document that I can refer to. I have also been using Audible's book marking feature liberally. I can hit the book mark button while I'm driving. Then when I not driving I can go back and label each book mark for any parts of the book I found notable.UPDATE: I passed my cert. I recommend this book along with CBK and the All-in-One.

Gostei muito do livro, pois de forma muito direta explica os principais topicos da CSSLP. É um otimo livro para rever conceitos rapidamente. No entanto, é necessário estudar pelo livro oficial também.
