HERR'SSour Cream and Onion Potato Chips, 9 Ounce (Pack of 1) (package may vary)

I grew up and lived most of my life in the burbs of Philly. Currently living in Maine, unfortunately Herr's brand products are not available here. Herr's are the best of the sour cream & onion potato chips of all brands. They have a great taste, not too salty and are the "ridgie" type which sour cream and onion flavored chips should be. At $2.84 for a 9.5 oz. bag is probably a better price than you could find in a PA store. I always order 3 bags at a time, arrive in a large cardboard box with minimal chip breakage.

If you've had these before you either are obsessed with them, or you think they're ok. I've not heard anyone say they out right didn't like them. I'm on the obsessed side to be honest. These chips with some sharp cheddar cheese are amazing. A nice deli sandwich and these are a good combo as well.The best deal I've gotten on these are when I can find them at Sam's club. They're one 18oz bag that goes for 3 dollars and some change.Update: If these go back down to a reasonable price it would be nice. 12 dollars for a bag of chips these people are out of their minds.

I've bought these delicious chips a total of four times now and I've always bought two bags each. Where I live on the west coast you can never find this flavor with ripples aka ridges. All I can find Sour Cream & Onion in is regular Lay's. They don't even carry them in the Ruffles brand at all. So every few months or so I'll get online and see if I can find these at a decent price here on Amazon, and I can usually get a couple of bags for less than six dollars.If you love this flavor then you will no doubt want to buy these chips. They are honestly the best Sour Cream and Onion ones I've ever ate. Unlike some of the other reviewers I've never had an issue with shipping. My bags have always been shipped inside a box (maybe because I bought more than one at a time) and they've never been opened either, though I've had other kinds arrive popped open which I've heard can happen when flown at high elevations.The first couple of purchases I made were fine, but the last two times they reached me with a shelf life of only 7-10 days left. On the plus side they were still fresh tasting even though the second bag was expired by a week or so when we finally opened them. There was no staleness thankfully, but please be aware that if you buy them here there is a good chance they'll be near to expiring. For that reason I knocked off one star but otherwise they're great =)

Still disappointed Herrs wont deliver this flavor to NC, but this was a fair shot. Most of the chips were kinda crushed honestly, but the same great Herrs flavor was in there.

These are good chips if you're hungry. Pretty much anything tastes good if you're hungry, right ? I consider these chips average. I'd prefer Lay's or Kettle brand any day over these. One of my complaints is the saltiness. Way too salty for me. Plus I have high bp and diabetes. So they need to take it down a notch or two with the salt.

The chips are delicious! However the past 2 orders have both had to be eaten pronto because the bags opened in shipping and dumped out in the box. Since Prime Pantry and their divided boxes have gone away it seems Amazon can't package food items to save their life (or our health).I've been having more and more issues with opened items lately and assume they are breaking open in shipping from poor packaging (don't even want to think about the alternatives and potentially purposefully tainted items).

My friend recently visited from Philly and she brought over a few bags. I'm originally from Philly, so I grew up eating these. My husband tried these chips for the first time and almost instantly had to find them on Amazon. He did and was happy. We received these yesterday (5/27/2021) and my hubby ate most of the first bag. Today, I ate a chip and it tasted off. Like. Stale. I looked at the date on the bag and it says "May 29, 2021". That is tomorrow. We didn't think to check the date before opening because... I dunno.. Didn't think we'd receive expired items? I chose to return these chips and we did receive a refund. Amazon also wrote that we didn't need to send them back.When these chips have a much later expiration date, they're so good. It's the best in our opinion. We'll just have to buy them in bulk next time we fly out to Philly.

I miss these so much since we don't live on the east coast anymore. You're the BEST.
