Great battery, extra charge capacity, fits perfectly.
My original Samsung Galaxy S7 battery was failing badly. It would only hold charge for about one hour. I had considered taking my phone to a shop to have the battery replaced, but have read many stories about poor service and high prices from these so-called fix-it shops. I watched several videos on how to replace a battery in a Samsung Galaxy S7 - and decided to perform this operation myself. I purchased this battery, a heat gun, and a Showpin suction cup tool - and got to work on it. I spent about 2 hours doing the battery change out, going very slow and carefully so as not to break anything, or to lose any of the 12 tiny screws that you have to remove, once I had the back cover of the S7 phone removed. The new battery fits perfectly. It holds charge all day long which is really what I need the battery to do. If you are patient, and careful, and watch the videos that are out there, you can do this repair yourself, and avoid paying someone $120 dollars to do the same thing. I recommend this battery. The kit comes with the battery, tools for removing the screws, new glue strips, and tools for separating the back panel from the phone, and the battery from the case. The heat gun, and the Showpin suction cup tool also make the battery replacement procedure easier to do, so I recommend them as well. Now that I have done this procedure, I am 100% confident I could do it again. Good luck to all who try to do this themselves. It is possible to do without any special training, if you watch the videos, and have the tools, and the patience to proceed carefully.

Everything was there to do what i needed.
Simple operation. I chose a Clothes iron on medium with damp towel to warm back slowly and the tools provided were great but i already had a full set of this type of work since repairing game controllers and computers is a hobby. Follow intructions and seal back well and you will feel good that you never once dropped phone in a call with your battery skittering out across the floor or under bed though a few calls Im sure that would make a good excuse to hang it up. lol. But this one Galaxy S7 I hated at first because the OS was Bad in 2017 but once it was updated from OS 7 to OS 8.0 it was a whole new phone but battery was not bad when I changed just not AS good as NEW. No serious degrdation. Go....Samsung...!!!!! Just google & too much bloatware eating power. Shut those OFF.

Great product, but needs better documentation
It's scary popping open an $800 device for the first time. Online videos make it less scary, but still, this kit could use some real documentation. The kit comes with a small card with a bunch of QR codes for getting to instructions, but all mine ever did was take me to some very sketchy looking web sites that did not seem to be related to the batteries or replacing them. Eventually I came across a series of videos that were a little helpful (one for disassembly only and a couple for the entire process).None of these videos showed what to do with the 2 adhesive strips that come in the kit. I bought a separate cover adhesive (that goes around the full edge of the phone).Otherwise, I'm happy with the quality of the tools that the kit comes with, and with the battery itself. Battery life now is very impressive! I had been charging my old battery at least once a day. Now, I go almost 2 days on a charge.I read dozens of reviews here to help get the courage to do this. My total time replacing was about 1.5 hours, and that was with taking it very slow and easy, and repeatedly watching the online videos while doing each step. Here's a tip: if you don't have a hair dryer, get one. Also, purchase a cover adhesive kit (only a few dollars and comes with 2 in case you mess the first one up).

Unprovoked, unanticipated and catastrophic failure
Believe the 1 start ratings. This replacement battery isn't worth the money paid, nor the time spent having to replace it. Mine lasted about 8 months. During that time, it was about as good as the 3 year old Samsung battery it had replaced, which means it never made it through an entire day. Usually it was on the charger a couple times a day, and that's with what I'd call moderate use.Yesterday, all of a sudden, without any warning signs at all, while doing a web search, the phone just dies. Without going in to all the details, the phone was basically rendered useless. So useless in fact that I ended up missing an important phone call. I replaced this garbage battery with a samsung battery that I had bought at the same time last year, and the phone is back to normal. So if you rely on your phone for anything important, I'd steer clear of this battery.
