Just what I wanted; perfect guest bed for my small home
I have to accomodate an overnight guest on short notice, without enough time for most furniture delivery options. This TATAGO Premium Ottoman Folding Bed was delivered quickly. I was able to drag and tumble the carton inside from the porch without too much difficulty by myself. It arived in perfect condition, fully assembled. I chose this unit above similar items for purported weight capacity, no sharp corners whether open or folded into an ottoman, width of 30", and for its handsome dark color. No one has slept on it yet -- I opened it out (very quick and easy), laid down on it (I'm not small) and it's sturdy with no shake or creakiness. I believe it might be a little firm for some sleepers; a mattress topper might make it feel more like a regular mattress, although as it is, it's way more comfortable than a saggy fold-out sofa bed mattress. I also like that it's high enough to get on and off of, especially for an older person like myself. There are glides on the bottom edges of the frame; it slides easily on my laminate floors. I see that fitted sheets sold for adjustable bed Split Queen mattresses are closest to the correct size -- one set = two fitted bottom sheets.I will use it as an ottoman/coffee table for daily use. I see one reviewer suggested putting a plywood board beneath the cover -- I put a plastc layer (for now, the plastic bag the bed was shipped in) beneath the cover to protect the bed from spills. I don't know how the quilted cover will be to wash and maintain and will update this review if there are any surprises further on with use.

Strong
I ordered two of these, to have available when family visits. The frame is strong. I'm about 300 lbs (boo) but I laid on this with no fear. The cushions are not super thick. So it is firm setup. Since i got two, I ordered a 2inch mattress foam thing and cut it in half to put on each of my items.Sheets were a tad tricky. I think I found that split queen sheets, the fitted sheets are about the best you can do. The non-fitted will be too big of course, but the fitted is about right. Obviously with this super thing "mattress", the fitted sheets won't be super fitted because most fitted sheets are meant for 6 to 12 inches mattresses. If you want to use a a coffee table, you may want to cut a 1/4 sheet of plywood down, slightly smaller than the dimensions of the "top", and put that at the top, but under the fabric cover that comes with this unit. But a well thought out design for what it is. and fairly quick and easy to convert.I'm glad I stepped up to this model over a different but popular brand that was about 40 dollars cheaper or so.Oh yeah, if you have hard wood floors, get some felt sticky bottoms. I put about 21 of them on the bottom of my unit (each of them) as a precaution.

Firm but comfortable for a few nights
I love this for a few reasons.One- it is a bed that doubles as a useful item! It’s not just folded up taking up storage space when not being used as a bed. I use it as an extra seat in my office, but could work easily as an ottoman or a small coffee table.Two- it is very sturdy. I have some larger friends and fam and I never want to offer a place to sleep that makes them feel uncomfortable or like it wont hold their weight.Three- for a temporary bed it’s pretty big. It’s about half the width of a queen and a bit longer than a standard twin. So a good size for a temporary sleeping solution for a few nights.4- it’s very firm. I personally prefer a very firm bed. Some people hate that. If you don’t like firm, a foam or feather topper for a twin would be a good solution. Some people recommend getting the split queen fitted sheets. I wanted to get a bedding set to include everything so I went with Twin XL size and it works well too.The cushions are separate so I wouldn’t recommend for more than a few nights at a time.Perfect for kids or one adult.I’m not in love with the cover (kinda looks like a quilt?) but I guess I can always get crafty and sew a new one or spruce this one up a bit.Still would absolutely recommend. It’s a cool and novel idea for an extra emergency bed.

A secret bed? What???
Love this thing! Who knew an ottoman could have a secret bed??? I bought this for my 90 yr old mother, so it HAD to be sturdy, and it is! Really well-built, and a clever design. She does like a firm mattress, but personally I felt it would be too firm. I have a 4” foam trifold mattress, and a futon topper that I already had for camping and my son’s sleepover’s from when he was young, so we just pop those on top. Perfect! My Mom LOVES it! She slept very soundly on it. My sister slept on it, as well. She said it was good for a night or two, but she’s super-critical about EVERYTHING, so take THAT with a grain of salt. I think it’s comfortable, my brother-in-law thought it was comfortable, but again, this is with a “topper.” Some people have brought up feeling the gaps where the pad is split into thirds. I could see how that might be uncomfortable, so be aware of that, but seems unavoidable with how it is designed. I am very happy with this purchase. Oh, and it also provides extra seating, a bonus during the holidays.

Very pleased thus far
This ottoman-to-twin bed came sooner than we expected, boxed nicely. No difficult set up, open and it is ready to go! We put it upstairs in our loft area to have an extra place to sit but also so we have an extra bed for those times we have company over. Very easy to fold up and out, very sturdy too. Yes the mattress is firm, but not unbearable. I think that getting a foam top of some sort for extra comfort can help. Obviously we haven’t had anyone sleep on it yet, but once we do, we will add their observations to this review.

Yes! Yes! Yes! To this bed!!
This was a great find!! I was looking for a rollaway bed for guests and came across this ottoman bed. The bed is really sturdy and easy to put up and take down. The cushions are hard and not comfortable at all. We fixed this by purchasing a foam mattress topper and cut it to size. I tried the bed out myself to make sure guests would be comfortable sleeping on it. I purchased a “cot sheet set” and it fits perfectly. No guests yet but my cats enjoy it. Great find for the price.
