Garbage
This piece of junk broke within two pulls.I don't know how anyone could make such a piece of garbage and hold their head up.This is the worst $10 I've ever spent.

Always have the other end connected to the boat or yourself
Good product last about four or five years the rubber sheathing will deteriorate with a UV protected nylon cord will remain intact I’ve gone through three of them it’s a good product

Plastic clip end split when attaching to engine - a safety hazard
Plastic clip split and unusable when attaching to engine. Fortunately I had the clip from previous kill switch which was still usable. Problem was - lanyard has closed loop so no way to slip clip onto new coiled cable. I've made do with a redneck keyring connector and not returning item as I needed it to pass inspection yesterday. I'm ok now but that plastic clip end of the cable splitting is a real safety hazard as its purpose is to keep the boat from continuing on if the operator falls overboard.

key snapped after a month or so of use...
Yikes!!! Boy, was I surprised when the key snapped right in half after only using it for a month. So glad I hadn't left my boat so I was able to grab my extra key. The low price on this item was too good to be true I guess.
