So on the one hand, this doesn't smell like any tobacco I've ever encountered. I admit I may have had the wrong expectation - I was hoping for pipe tobacco, or a natural cigar. This wasn't like that at all.On the other hand, I LOVE the way it DOES smell. Sweet wood smoke with some tannin - if you've ever been to a Civil War reenactment or had a strong cup of lapsang souchong, you'll recognize it in this. I'll absolutely buy it again.UPDATE: I just bought this for the fourth time (I wasn't kidding when I said I liked it), and this time the packaging was very slightly different, the sticks were a bit darker, and the tobacco smell is present and clear. Maybe this is a fresher batch? At any rate, it's exactly what I'd hoped for the first time I bought it - it smells like fresh pipe smoke, and lingers without getting stale. I'm bumping my rating up to five stars.

The stick burnt well and for a long time but we are used stronger smelling incense and this was a bit subdued. Nothing wrong just not as strong of a smell that we like

Aroma

Scent is not true to name. Burns up too fast and I may not like excessive smoke in the room but if this were a different product I'd say it was very "cheaply" produced.
