Well-made adjustable mounts enable optimum placement of portable solar panels for RV camping
I bought two of these sets for two 100 watt portable solar panels to keep our RV batteries charged during off-the-grid camping. I like the fact that the rails can be left attached to the solar panels for storage, leaving only the tilt adjustment brackets to attach for setup. I can quickly set the panels up near my trailer in a sunny spot and angle them toward the sun for higher power. Since these brackets attach with knurled knobs and wingnuts, setup is really quick and no tools are needed. The rails and adjustment brackets are very well made and very light, but also very sturdy. I wished they were a little cheaper, since I needed two sets, but I decided to go with these instead of making my own, and I'm glad I did.

Works great for an off the grid outhouse!
It’s not painted orange on the corners, I did that as a safety precaution bc the edges are very sharp. when mowing it would be easy to slice your head if you weren’t paying attention. I think the solar panel mount works well, it’s adjustable and sturdy. I felt it was easy to install but I’m pretty mechanical in general.

Heavy Gauge aluminum with lots of mounting options.
These would get a five star rating if they had a more convenient method of tilting. Fumbling with washers and thumb screws while on your roof is no fun. I am going to retro-fit mine with clip pins on the angle pieces. The aluminum is a heavy gauge and the drilled holes are well machined, they won't slice you up. There are enough holes and slots that you can make any tilt/ mount combination you can think of. The hardware/ thumb screws are not stainless steel, so expect them to rust after awhile. When I replace the two tilt screws with stainless pins that will be less to rust. I like the increase in distance under the panels when they are in the down position. This will help with cooling air underneath and prevent so much heat on my rubber roof as the original mounts with my panels only has around 3/4 inch from the roof, you could barely get tools under them to tighten. I did an experiment, measured the output from my panels lying flat with original mounts, clear day 11am, second week of Feb. was measuring 4.2 amps total into the converter. Next day after installing the tilting mounts, 11am clear day, now getting 11.2 amps into the convertor. I am sold on tilting. There are probably multiple reasons for the increase in power output, first is angle to the sun, the second and also important is the cooling effect of having the back of panels exposed to free circulation of air. Solar output suffers greatly when the panels are hot. Now with my semi flex panels on plastic pipe mounts, located on the ground, I can get all the morning and evening sun. I will be buying more of these mounts when I expand my battery bank and get more panels. If you had a good drill press and lots of time you could make these for half what they cost, but it is not worth my time to make my own.

Great brackets
These brackets were exactly what I needed for my three solar panels. I am a 71 year old female and they were very easy for me to install and fit perfectly. They seem very sturdy. One of the brackets was missing a wing nut however the company contacted me right away and offered a refund for the cost of replacing it. All together I am very happy with this purchase.

sturdy and durable
1. The pieces all fit, and the kit was complete.2. While the panels are held in place, I would not consider these frames to rise to the level of "sturdy." I *do* believe they will do the job, but I wish they held the panels in place more rigidly/ firmly/solidly.3. Case in point, the nuts and bolts appear to be quite soft metal, and I will likely need to frequently tighten them until they approach failure over time, and then I will replace them with stronger stainless/ grade 8 bolts and nuts. Not a big deal, just expect that you will need to inspect your frames and tighten them, regularly.4. These kits ought to be priced about $29.95, not $49.95 because the cost of goods sold here was probably under $7. Six pieces of formed and drilled metal bar, various screws and nuts. The box to ship it in probably added $1.50. Now in fairness, had I made the frames myself by purchasing and drilling the frame pieces, procuring grade 8 nuts and bolts, I probably would have met or passed the $50 limit, but the frames would be strong, sturdy and durable, and NOT require me to check them once a week to see if they are still tightly fastened.5. Since my installation, by design and need, is small and static, I had wanted to mount the panels horizontally (think landscape mode), but the panel frames are not drilled for mounting in that orientation. Not an issue for these brackets, just an FYI (Renogy 100W mono-crystalline panels).NET: would I buy these again? probably. I will likely replace all nuts and bolts with grade 8 hardware to reduce preventative maint checks.

I have to honestly say that this was the best designed, most well built kit I've purchased online
I have to honestly say that this was the best designed, most well built kit I've purchased online. I was going to try to part it out and do it myself because the kit that was made by the company that made my panel was a little expensive. This kit was half that price. It fit flawlessly. I do intend to modify a bit with a base to hold the controller. I am going to use it on my new truck camper when I go to places without services. If you need a frame for your panel you cannot go wrong.

Don't hesitate buy it great product
Very nice quality mount. flexible mounting options and all hardware included. I did replace the bolts to mount the solar panel as they were a bit small. Works perfectly for my application. I can mount on trailer as well as move to ground as needed to catch the sun.Adjustable Solar Panel Mount Mounting Brackets Folding Tilt Legs, Boat, RV, Roof Off Grid,22-inch Length
