Very easy to understand but maybe a bit pricey.
A great book for a introduction to Java. The concept and practices are simple and very easy to understand.but I would not recommend it for someone who already have experience with Java, but really best for absolute beginner.I feel that it maybe a bit pricey for the content, but I still love it.

This is an excellent update to a good book
This is an excellent update to a good book. More programs/games/scenarios with better and fuller explanations. Additional, short programming activities to build confidence and skill. Michael Kolling is brilliant.

I enjoyed the ease of shopping and quick shipping
I enjoyed the ease of shopping and quick shipping. Easy to see what you purchased and easy to view past purchases. Didn’t like the reoccurring charges. Didn’t use it enough to make it cost effective.

Very good book for teaching intro to programming
Very good book for teaching intro to programming. New edition has "drill and practice" sections at the end of each chapter (which was something the first edition was missing).

Great start for learning JAva or programming.
This book was recommended by my sons instructor for learning Java.

Useless for me
Not a lot of information about programming itself, it's just a guide to the greenfoot API. There are online guides and project examples for greenfoot and this book feels unnecessary.
