Easy to assemble, all hardware provided, takes perhaps 10mins per chair, mostly spent screwing in bolts and screws. (Perhaps faster if you do it with a power tool, but I do a better job by hand.)Very stable once put together, height-adjustable feet for uneven pavement if needed.Nice rustic look, perfectly dimensioned for us (5'9" or so).Price hard to believe (esp. given the shipping all the way to Hawaii), but the product is of very good quality and should last a long time.

These are nice and light weight, but sturdy. We love the rustic look. be careful on hardwood floors, they will scratch without some different pads on the bottom.

They are perfect. They were wrapped well and arrived without a scratch. All hardware was included. Easy to assemble if you read directions first. You MUST NOT tighten the screws until all12 screws are in the stool. You will see why as you go. Very high end look and feel on these stools. Ashley products are well worth the praise and the time I give to write this about their product. UPDATE... My original review was exactly how I felt at the time. Well, minimal use and 3 months later, the first stool leg snapped completely off. one week later, the second in the exact same place. Beware, they will charm you at first, but you will be spending more money to replace them in 90 days.

These stools are super sturdy so I no longer have to worry about a really large person sitting at the snack bar and folding the chair by accident and possibly hurting themselves. They're also small in profile so I'm able to fit 4 very easily at the snack bar and could probably fit 2 more if I wanted to. If you want a simple, sturdy, relatively inexpensive purchase, this is a great deal. If you're looking for a more upscale look and feel, these may not suit your desire. When you move these around on the floor, they make a tinny noise as you set it down in a new location. Kind of cheap sounding if you notice sounds furniture makes when in use. But, they're definitely suitable to move to the round dining table to squeeze 4 more people into a 4 person table to make an 8 person setting. It gets cozy but it's still doable. :)

We purchased these stools to go at our kitchen island. They were easy to put together and they're very sturdy. We've had them put together for about a week now. They are gorgeous and look much more expensive than they are. These stools are so comfortable. I work from home and spend a lot of the day sitting at the kitchen island checking emails, I can sit on these stools all day! They're perfect.

These stools are perfect for my outside table. They are not advertised for outside, but they were exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put together and sturdy. Although they are under a patio roof, I will bring them in during the winter. Nice that I can use them also for inside extra counter seating. I can’t rate durability as I have had them only for a short time, but the wood seats are attractive and I like that the legs look sturdy.

These stools are awesome! I was hesitant to buy these vs. similar, more expensive ones on Wayfair and am completely satisfied. Easy to assemble (I took the advice of previous reviewers and went in reverse order as per the instructions), and they look great. I was hoping the legs were more grey steel, but they are pretty much black. Despite my initial disappointment, the black color against the wood looks good, especially since the distressing in the wood is also black. Very happy and glad I saved some money without buying a product that looks cheap.

I was looking for counter-height stools for the island in my kitchen, and at the Ashley store the 24" height looked SO short! I never would have believed that they would be correct.I looked around at other local places (Valu City, Raymoor) but all their stuff seemed really cheap. The best stuff I found was at Ashley, and I'm not an Ashley Furniture snob, in fact I'm picking up my living room set from ValuCity on Tuesday. I just shop around and find the best stuff that each place offers.Anyway, got home, measured the height, measured me, and turns out that 24" is a lot higher than you'd think, and is what is known as "counter height".I found these on the Ashley furniture main web site, searched for them on Amazon, they had them at an absolutely amazing price of $40/ea (and I say that seriously, $40 a piece ... that's unreal! From China or not, it's a great price for what you get!).The packaging, the assembly, and the overall "heft" of the product is incredible. The seat is wood-ish material, but even if it's not real wood, it's dense, it's very hard and thick, and has been coated (I'm assuming a commercial polyurethane) at least 10 times. It's built to last and take a beating.And to top it off, for those in the "know", the screws holding them together had loctite pre-applied!$40/ea ... I can't get over that price.Oh yeah ... and free shipping!!!I never add pictures to reviews, but this one is worth it. I couldn't be happier with the quality of these and the overall product.(update 4/5/2015 - I noticed the price has gone up. When I purchased it was $80 for the pair)

Suited the purpose it was intended. Comfort rated as 4, it is a wooden seat supposed to be hard.

I wished to replace some stools I already owed to match some other chairs coming from Ashley. These new Bar Stools have a nice retro look to them and are sized to not overwhelm your living space as did the ones I replaced. One has to take care while assembling and don't tighten till all hardware is installed and snug up in stages, as one would do in replacing a flat with your spare wheel and tire .

Easy to assemble and very sturdy. First time in a long time my husband hasn't sworn putting something together. Very well made and we are very happy with these stools. Love them!
