This is a must replace part when serving 2nd gen Durangos A/C systems
Transducer works great. Always replace this item when doing a/c work on 2nd gen Durangos. I have gotten to the point that I will replace this part every 3 years regardless of it needing to be replaced just to save the compressor from self-distructing. This part went bad in my father-in-laws Durango and wrecked the compressor. This sensor is what tells the compressor to cycle, and to turn on the condenser fan. It failed , which lead to the fan shutting off and letting heat and pressure build up in the A/C system, destroying the compressor. Replacing it every few years is cheap insurance since the port it screws into has a valve built in that seals the line when the sensor is unscrewed. Very easy to replace.
