Lefty scissors
Bought these for Daughter. She loved them.

Not left handed
They are ambidextrous. The handles do not favor a hand, but the blades are still configured as right handed. I have learned to adjust how I "pinch" the blades together using high handed scissor may years ago. These are nice because they are ambidextrous, but not the left handed experience that I was expecting.

Great for paper
If you want to cut anything thicker than paper like a piece of fabric, it was a struggle .Many times I would just give up after struggling with them

Will only cut very thin paper. Not that great of a quality. You are better of with a good right handed scissor then this scissor
Since my son is left handed his therapist had recommended to try left handed scissors since he has such a hard time trying to learn how to cut shapes. These left handed scissors are a real disappointment. I probably should have taken more time to research these scissors but he has a harder time cutting with these scissors then with the right handed ones. These scissors are very cheaply made and only cut regular paper. If you try anything thicker then regular paper they do barely cut, if at all. The bigger finger opening on the one side is nice but if the scissor it self does not do the job it is intended for then that is not very useful. These scissors have some very sharp points but I rather have a rounded point with scissors that would cut reasonably. These will work for very thin paper but right handed scissors will work to and most likely you can find a lot better scissors for the same price. or even cheaper. I am glad I bought my son some other left handed scissors that work so much better for him. I think they need to redesign these scissors, if you really want to make them useful.I normally read reviews before I buy a product online especially on Amazon. I did not read reviews this time because I was in a hurry. So I really regret that. This is one product that I could not recommend to my friends and family and if you need a left handed scissor you might want to check out some of the others. This is my own honest opinion. Made my lefty kids so happy!
I am so confused by these negative reviews. I can only guess that they are from lefties who have gotten used to cutting with right-handed scissors. I've heard that can cause problems because the angle is different. I bought these for my two left-handed kids, ages 14 and 9, and they both love them. They promptly cut up the plastic bubble mailer the scissors came in. Then I drew a curvy line on a paper, and my 14yo cut along the line to make sure they handled satisfactorily, and that she could "see" what she was cutting. It all worked well, and she was ecstatic. We plan to buy more of these every few months until we have a nice supply of scissors for the lefties, since scissors disappear so often around kids.
