Dead on arrival
Aside from the strong chemical odor coming from the box and speaker, the biggest problem was that one of two monitors was dead on arrival. Only the horn worked. Woofer was non-functioning. I switched brand new cables back and forth to make sure the problem wasn't on my end. One speaker worked fine so it's definitely a Peavey problem. I was also unhappy with the quality of the cabinet. They are made in China and I do have to question the composite material that was used to make the cabinets.I will be returning both speakers and upgrading to another brand.

Peavey Monitor Function
Awsome for Monitors, Highly recomended for small venues. Typical Quality for all Peavey equipment in my book.

One design flaw, and one misrepresentation.
I can't speak for the sound, because I never got a chance to hook this up. I returned this for two reasons... First, the picture shows that it has rubber stoppers on one end (look at the right side of the picture). The one that was sent to me did NOT have these. You know what else is on that end? The 1/4 inch jack inputs! Which brings me to my second point. This means you can't stand it upright and still connect your equipment, which leaves you with only two options... use it as a monitor or pole-mount it. My intention was to stand it upright and then put my powered mixer on top, but if you stand it upright, all your jack inputs are flush with the ground.
